Despite putting on a good Facebook face on Asst. DA's Edna Dinsdale's resignation from his department for greener pastures, Cameron County District Attorney failed to mention that she decided to leave after he read the Riot Act to his staff about leaking information of the goings on in his office.She was known in the department and across Cameron County as a top-notch prosecutor in the DA's Child Abuse Unit.
Observers said that Saenz tried to play it off like it was a good separation but her leaving came within the hour after he was overheard threatening employees with termination if he found out they are leaking information to the blogs.

Regardless of the spin, it is obvious that people know the reason why Ms. Dinsdale took a powder.
In one of the comments following the ceremony where Saenz presented her with a plaque for her service, there is a hint that there were underlying reasons for her departure.
"I'm sure Mr. Saenz will regret that move soon enuf," wrote another. "Keep up the great work."
In short, Saenz is said to have called a meeting where he characterized giving out information as a "conspiracy" and told them there is the door if they don't like his accusation of character.
There is a long waiting list of people lining up to take their place, Saenz said.
This came shortly after he made Asst. DA Edward Sandoval – all of five years out of college – his chief assistant, hardly the experienced attorney you would expect to hold that position.
Additionally, word from the sieve-like office indicates that Saenz has gone as far as to form a task force of investigators to find out where the leak is.

Likewise, Danny Theys, of the Santa Rosa Volunteer Fire Dept., wrote" "This young lady is probably the one that you shouldn't have let go...I hope she remembers her home here in Cameron County."
If our inside sources are correct, the paranoia that led Saenz to make the speech to his assembled staff was one of the primary reasons that Ms. Dinsdale may have expedited her departure from the the department.
Remember candidate Saenz when he said on the campaign trail that his would be a transparent and accountable administration?

You idiot. She had been planning to leave for weeks to take over her husband's law firm since he got hired as an AUSA by the Feds. They are both tremendous attorneys, and your "inside" sources are WAY off base.

Sorry to shoot story down somewhat Montoya but Mrs. Dinsdale was planning to leave once her husband started at the AUSA's Office to take over his law practice. As for the reading of the riot act to employees? That's a strong possibility since there have been questionable situations create out of that office?
Edward Sandoval picked as second in command may have left a bad taste in some veteran ADA's mouths but that shouldn't be a big deal? Maybe in deciding punishment sentences but that can be mediated by Sandoval and the ADA? Other than that, its administrative duties. I rather see someone like Sandoval than Gus Garza, Pete Gilman, Rene Garza or Julie Allen? These individuals all have attitudes and their not good ones! Mr. Saenz should not have to worry about reading the riot act if he is not doing anything questionable? Is there favoritism to some attorneys, probably? Only time will tell if they are violation of some law and the Feds come into the picture again. Eddie Lucio got lucky with a jury in Corpus Christi. He still is a questionable attorney who took advantage of making money with the assistance of Armando Villalobos. You also have Oscar De La Fuente who also stole money from clients with the assistance of Armando Villaobos and got away "scott free." Yet, Mr. Saenz choses not to Indict him on State charges? That is questionable.
Luis Saenz is a DICK! We can't believe anything coming out of the DA's office. Any good attorney will be wasted in his power mongering management style. That's why he is more likely to hire older, non-competitve types. Luis Saenz is a total DICK!
Big deal. Montoya is on the right track. Property is being confiscated without due process, sold for the financial benefit of the confiscators, and it is all done without transparency or accountability. And all of this is happening while the politically connected are given a free pass. But it's okay because there are Facebook hits? Facebook is high school. Grow up.

Hey Mellissa why don't you put your smelly thong on Luis Head then take a picture and post that on his facebook page, I'm sure he will get at least a 1000 likes. Then you could tell him "Look don't worry Baby "as you call him" or (Mr. Saenz as we know him) all these likes are votes. You don't have anything to worry about. You will get re-elected and you and I will make a lot of money together. We will have Power and Money to be able to control and deceive the stupid people.
