THE LNG DEBATE HEATS UP: PRISTINE OR POLLUTED?

(Ed's Note: So far, except for a few hardy souls who have expressed concern about the headless rush into the LNG industry that will admittedly increase pollution and flame-out fumes into the air around the Laguna Madre and Padre Island, the bully pulpit has been handed over to the Sunshine Boys above. We are about to destroy South Padre Island, fishing waters and the air with pollution and become another Port Arthur and that is one ugly stinking town. Is this the legacy we're leaving our children? And for what? A handful of silver coins thrown around to local leaders who are willing to sell out our natural treasures? Something don't smell right. Must be the CRAP. One of our three readers created a facsimile of the Citizens Rising Against Pollution poster above. As a show of appreciation, we display it for out other two readers' enjoyment. As usual, our opiate Herald has its head buried up its ads. Click on graphic to enlarge. Feel free to copy and disseminate to the traditional southeast trade winds.)

With all the big bucks deals being talked about at the Port of Brownsville, many of us would just like to know when they will stop taking property taxes from the citizens of the area, when it appears the Port is a commercial success...without our tax dollars. Is Campriano hanging on to this tax the same way his amiga, Julieta Garcia did with TSC tax dollars??

so while Rome burns the Herald's playing the fiddle with a story about a woman who got a letter from a football player? it's absurd. Where have you gone, Emma Perez (Trevino), our nation turns its lonely eyes to you. This is your shot at that Pulitzer. Saul there

OK pendejos, why do you think a company would place this shit in the Port of Brownsville when Corpus Christi is right next door to gas itself? It will require a new BILLION dollar pipeline to get the gas to the port from the Eagle Ford.

The answer fucktards, is that only a poor, ignorant people would accept this shit. Just like the ship wrecking business. I think Brownsville should apply for center of nuclear power plant radio active disposal as well.

In the best of worlds, where there is good leadership, economic development and environmental stewardship are compatible.

But hey vato this is Brownsville and those pendejos will fuck it up for sure and for certain. They will make whatever decisions put more money in their and their friends pockets. Fuck el pueblo, let them eat tortillas con beans and rice. They don't need meat or clean air.

Ralph Cowen, the chairman of the BND board should be on the meme. He's a rabid industrialist, and he's up for reelection next May.

Corpus Christi already has an LNG plant, and a heavily industrialized port as well. The have had a petro and chemical industrial complex for 60 or 70 years and Corpus Christi is a much nicer and cleaner City than Brownsville.
