Gringos Y Otros Pendejos: Every GOP Candidate Skips National Hispanic Conference
By Katherine Haenscheon
Burt Orange Report

Last week, the National Council of La Raza held their annual conference. Given the importance of the Hispanic electorate to national politics and critical swing states, you’d expect both parties to send their top candidates to court voters and activists.
And you’d be wrong! Every single GOP candidate for president skipped the largest national Hispanic gathering held before their primary.
Donald Trump skipped it. He was too busy insulting Mexican immigrants and planning an appearance with Sheriff Joe Arpaio to bother attending.
Ted Cruz skipped it. The son of immigrants is arguably the most anti-immigrant of the bunch.
Jeb Bush skipped it. He’s probably petrified that the GOP primary voters find out he’s not a hard-line xenophobe on immigration.
Rick Perry skipped it. Perhaps he was too busy rattling sabres at the border to bother shoring up any of the support he has received from Hispanic voters in the past.
All the rest of them — Rubio, Jindal, Christie, Carson, Kasich, Fiorina, Graham, Huckabee, Pataki, Paul, Santorum, Walker, and 8 other white guys whose names you can’t remember — skipped it too.
Failing to show up and pay respect to Hispanic voters suggests that Republicans aren’t serious about their path to victory. The growth of Hispanic voters in key swing states makes the path to the White House exceedingly difficult for the GOP, as this analysis makes clear. Instead of wooing voters, Republicans are trying to impede minority turnout with discriminatory voter ID laws.
Of course, the Republican candidates — and The Donald in particular — were figuratively in the room as Democratic candidates and leaders took many a swing at Trump, currently leading in national GOP primary polls.
Trump is riding an ignorant and vitriolic rhetoric on immigration into the national spotlight. His proufoundly racist fear-mongering is an insult not merely to Mexican immigrants but to all immigrants and descendants of immigrants — in other words, the vast majority of people in this country.

Well, that is a far left wing group that just happens to be Hispanic in makeup. So the snubbed a far left wing group. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

That groups DOES NOT represent the thinking of the vast majority of Hispanic people.

You are so right. NCLR does not represent me as a Mexican-American, a female Latina, College Educated, AGAINST ILLEGAL immigration, for conservative family values, practicing Catholic and TOTALLY AGAINST Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. If I were to pick a Republican which right now I don't know if I would, my choices would be Jeb Bush or Chris Cristie. Everyone else is just "there".

Congratulations for being college educated, etc. If you had lived during Torqumada's time you would have been sent to the friendly Dungeon for a re-education course . Thank the "Age of Enlightment" and the liberal movements that chage the history of the world.

Seriously, you think the GOP and the Tea Party represent the vast majority of Hispanic people?

You probably are too young to remember what La Raza Unida, Cesar Chavez, El Chicano Movement, and NCLR did to advance the advantages of the Mexican-Americans who at the time were not allowed to attend major colleges or university because of the color of their skin.

Screw the major partys, I am Betting on Bernie 2016.

Ahem....from 1964-67, I was a student at a major Texas university law school and we had quite a few Mexican Americans. They all did well with one becoming a Texas Supreme Court judge with others being judges and district attorney's. Don't forget the Raza Unida candidate for Governor (Ramsey Muniz) was a law graduate of a major law school. It is just a bald face lie that Hispanic students were not allowed in major universities and grad schools before all the far left groups. Pure crap.

The Repuplican and T-Party are a derangé group of crazies basically organized as sociopaths and misfits. Just look at their record.

That's classic group picture of the Rogues Gallerry. It hangs at the FBI's headquarters in D.C.

Who cares about the Mexicans or how they vote. If white people stopped voting divided they'd win in a landslide every single time whether one Mexican voted or every single one voted. I say Mexican because very few are "Hispanic". Mexicans can piss off. Don't need em. Don't want. Never did. Never will. End of story.
