RICARDO'S D-TOWN AFTER PABLO KISEL, PAREDES, ARTEMIS

(Ed's Note: If you've followed the Ricardo's Restaurant Movable Feast you probably remember when it operated out of the area off Pablo Kisel. From there, Ricardo moved to the mall at the old Artemis Restaurant, then to Paredes Line Road and now to the downtown area near the Brownsville Municipal Court. We had a chance to visit at all these places and the food was always good, although the venue was different. At the newest place at 425 E. 10th, we are glad to report that the service and the food has maintained its quality. A friend ordered a milanesa that practically spilled out of both sides of a large plate. The fideo con pollo cold have fed a small army. We noticed the restaurant was full of city and business district employees who seem to have taken to The new and improved Riccardo's. We wish Ricardo and his staff the best. Good stuff!)

The usual Naco suspects go to Chef 's R. for good grub. They shoot the Shit and eye-ball the good looking Naquettes. They often parley about Wine, Women, and Song.

Sounds like it is now just another Mexican greasy spoon. From an upscale shopping area to downtown Browntown, what a slide!

Gringos too love Mexican greasy spoons.

Great with those extra large servings for the obese capital of the world. Any flour tortillas on the side?

Artery cloggers are available on the side. They are used too as motor sealers.

Used to call himself, Chef Ricardo remember? Until he got in trouble for bad food and was staring at a deceptive marketing lawsuit.. He quickly dropped the word Chef from Ricardo.
