ANOCHE SE PUSO GUENO EN LA CARTA EN EL TOWN

(Ed.'s Note: Downtown entertainment devotees will be pleased to hear that La Carta Brava, a favorite dancing nightspot on weekends is back in business minus the toxic el chaparro Carlos. The club had been closed for the past two or three weeks following a citation of the former manager by the TABC. However, we understand that our good friend and boxing enthusiast Eddie Vallejo is helping the bar's owners since the reopening. We had the opportunity to cruise by after the Dallas Cowboys squeaker win Sunday and the joint was packed with dancing couples. We wish Eddie and his friends the best. Carta Brava is one of those places that conjunto and cumbia music enthusiasts frequent because it is close to downtown and usually attended by a less boisterous bunch than those who frequent other downtown bars.)
