It's been while since we've run into Dr. Lorenzo Pelly, a fine example of Cuban medical profession manhood, but we hear the clinic he runs with four other doctors has moved to better digs.
At one time, Pelly – with his office wall decorated with a Cuban flag and a musket – used to have his offices on Jefferson Street.
Then he and his fellow physicians moved to Valley Doctor's Clinic on Central Boulevard next to Valley Baptist. Now, after years of occupying that space, they have moved to 2300 Central Blvd. in Wellington Square where they have set up their shingle.
Pelly has always been a people person even with that particularly Cuban accent. When he gets together with New Medicine practitioner Jesus Caquias and mass pediatrician Jorge Dominguez, it's hard for local pochos to keep up with them.
Anyway, Monday was Pelley's first day at his new digs and we wish him well. Along with Lorenzo are his associate doctors Sundeep Reddy, Ahmad Karkoutly, and Jamail Madi. And those are just the ones listed on the front door.
If you are one of their patients, the entrance to the new site is right off Central Boulevard on the south side of Wellington Square across the street from Carolina's Restaurant.
Congratulations, guys!
