COMING TO AN H.R. NEAR YOU: GILBERT'S NEW COUNTY TEAM

By Juan Montoya
Well, all the pieces are falling into place.
First it was former Cameron County Judge Gilberto Hinojosa's chief of staff Remi Garza getting the Elections Administration gig even though there were more qualified applicants on the list.
The we had David Garcia, another Hinojosa loyalist, getting the county administrator job. Garcia first came to the county as a favor to former U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz's right-hand- man Lencho Rendon. He has remained there ever since at a hugely inflated salary ($115,000).
(That's about par for the course. His former boss, now Cameron County Judge, earns $230,000 as chief county officer and CEO and director of the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority. On his days off, he is said to be considering the creation of a parallel universe.)
Then we had the emergency management coordinator Tom Hushen come back to the county fold. Now we have the new director of Program Management and Development (and former county auditor) Mark Yates. The last time county residents saw Yates was when he was being led in handcuffs out the county administration building after he had been indicted with entering into an insurance contract without the approval of the commissioners court. Yates had been so far removed from public service that he is now struggling to master the learning curve of state and federal grants, their regulations, reporting, etc. The only thing making it work is the staff that Frank Bejarano left behind. Otherwise, Yates would be like the proverbial fish out of the water. Someone said some time ago that Yate's learning curb would be like the continual curve at the Indianapolis 500.
In fact, those overlooked staff members in all these departments are doing the yeomen's work for these patently political appointments.
At one time or another the commissioners court is going to have to step in and enforce its wishes rather than abdicate their responsibility to Hinojosa by his proxies,
And the last Hinojosa loyalist to get on the county payroll was chosen this week with the hiring of Gilberto Elizondo as the new Cameron County Human Resources director.
With the old Hinojosa gang assembled, it might be a matter of time before the final pieces are moved and Hinojosa's takeover of the county is complete. What Gilbert couldn't pull off through the ballot box is now neatly being put in place by his foxes in the hen house.
As county administrator, one of the departments that Garcia controls is the HR. It is through here that the rethreads of the Hinojosa regime have been snuck into the county bosom. The Texas Department of Agriculture has it wrong. They need to fumigate the blood ticks at the county.

Pete Sepulveda is the mastermind of Gilberto Hinojosa's plan to put all his cronies back on the Cameron County Payroll....he hired David Garcia. He hired Tom Hushen. He gave the Order to hire Mark Yates....and he did the same for Gilbert Elizondo. The new HR director for Cameron County was the HR director for Amfels....he was forced out of Amfels along with Leonel Alejandro. When Alejandro resigned as State district judge...Elizondo was fired by Amfels also. leonel was the legal counsel for Amfelds when Elizondo was there. They were part of a scheme were they were sending Amfelds employees to doctors in Matamoros. PURAS RATAS.

Its very obvious that the Dumbokratic Party of Cameron County seems to be eager to return to the days of corruption and easy money. We know that Gilbert Hinojosa and his minions/puppets want to get their hands firmly around the taxpayers purse. If that happens maybe we can identify those who will be in jail or thrown out of office in the future; but probably after the public treasury is empty. Gilbert and his cohorts are dangerous because they, like Mayor Tony Martinez think they are "all knowing" and they know what is best for citizens without public input.

Gilberto Hinojosa should be in jail with our former DA Armando Villalobos and many other attorneys but he became a fingerhut just like the rest and let Villalobos sail into federal prison all by himself, what a great setup, Gilberto your the most dishonorable attorney in Cameron county or the state of Texas. How do you sleep at night? or are you awake all night doing your nose candy/coke thing. God is wathcign you and the rest of our gang. CCA
