Mike Hernandez III, a former Brownsville resident has evidently purchased billboards throughout the valley proclaiming the need for change in the city of Brownsville.http://brownsvilleobserver.blogspot.com/

We've lifted the mission statement for the group OP 10.33 Time for Change, Brownsville, TX off the group's Facebook page below.
Hernandez seems especially galled at a description of Brownsville in the Houston Chronicle in October 2013 as the "poorest city in America" and vows to reverse that trend within twenty years of that newspaper article by October 2033.
His promises include $1,000,000 to BISD, a generous endowment, but miniscule considering the district's $500,000,000+ annual budget. BISD could squander that amount in a year's time on legal fees from lawsuits. Hernandez has also pledged $1,000,000 to Guadelupe Middle School and $2,000,000 to United Brownsville.(Perhaps, Hernandez has not learned that United Brownsville is controlled by elitists hell-bent on steering the region's development to their profit.)
This is the information gleaned from the group's Facebook page:
What is OP 10.33?
Our project is named OP 10.33 and it's short for Brownsville becoming the "land of opportunity by October 2033" -- twenty years after it was last crowned as "the poorest city in America" by the Houston Chronicle.
At OP10.33, we pride ourselves on our strict code of honor. Among them are:
* HONESTY - Freedom from deceit or fraud
* HONOR - Complete fairness and integrity in one's actions
* JUSTICE - Moral principle determining just conduct with others

* OPPORTUNITY - Condition favorable for attainment of one's goals

Brownsville Pendejo is more like it.
Who is his father
"I hereby declare April 1st as "Plump Partridge Day" in Fuckerville, to honor our lifelong fat cat pol Renay Ollievey-rah-rah-rah! His service to the people of Fuckerville has been a textbook example of screwing the community from Day One. Fuckerville will honor him with presentation of the foot-long Golden Horse Dick Award at a ceremony at the Fuckerville Convention Center to be chaired by Fuckerville Mayor Anthony "The Big Fuck" Martinez. A parade featuring the Fuckerville Symphony Orchestra will follow. It will roll from Palm Boulevard to the front of Fuckerville City Hall on Elizabeth. Fuckerville police will clear the area of bums, winos, transvestites, property tax scofflaws, prostitutes posing as downtown secretaries and bloggers acting-out reporter roles, said the Fuckerville Police Chief.
"I thank the great City of Fuckerville for this distinct honor," The Plump Partridge said in a message delivered by fellow Fuckerville native Tony Gray, his peripatetic legislative aide. "Fuckerville is first & foremost on my mind when I conduct the state's business. I am Fuckerville."
Tell me something Juanito. What amount of money can you document that you have contributed to the City of Brownsville given that you make so much money. Seriously, tell us what you have contributed.
You need to take lessons from Cesar your mentor from years past. And I know that you will not post this because it goes against the grain for you. But, you need to realize why so many people admired him and not you. He was a man of creditability.
You write about Mike with no knowledge. Here's a guy who obviously has done better than you. Makes a hell of a lot more money than you and wants to make a difference in this graft infested city that you yourself live in.
Instead of writing posts on BISD and TSC that you're paid for I would suggest that you stick to your strengths.
History on Brownsville and the surrounding area
