SAENZ, CORTEZ BEHIND THE CAPTURE OF CHAPO GUZMAN

By Juan Montoya
Still reveling in their principal roles of capturing fugitive murderer Amit Livingston, the indictments of Cameron Tax Assessor-Collector Tony Yzaguirre and three other tax office employees, and their salvation of Western Civilization as we know it, Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz and sheriff candidate Victor Cortez have hit another home run.
"I'm proud to announce that the Cameron County DA's Office, humbly headed by me, myself and I 0 with the abler cooperation of former DEA agent Victor Cortez – who by the way is running for the Republican nomination for county sheriff – were instrumental in the capture of the notorious Mexican bandido Joaquin "El Chapo: Guzman," Saenz announced from the steps of the Cameron County Courthouse. Mission accomplished!"
Citing security concerns, neither Saenz nor Cortez – as they did in the Livingston case – disclosed their personal role in the capture of the notorious cartel leader and escape artist. They simply said that residents along the U.S.-Mexico border can now sleep soundly knowing that their protectors at 906 Harrison street are on the job.
"I was born to be a prosecutor," Saenz said. "We cannot disclose the details of our involvement because of national security reasons," he said. "But lets just say that if the time ever came when the Mexican Marines turned north toward us, we were in their corner, despite the Border Wall between us."
With Charro Days coming up, Sanz said that prosecutors worried that "El Chapo" could somehow slip inside the country dressed as a mariachi or a peon and would easily blend into the festive crowds that line the parade route.
"Last year we walked that route with our antenna on and our sensors on high in case felonious criminals like Guzman tried to sneak in among the Charro Days crowd," he said. "I'm, and Victor, too, is doing a great job."
Much to the chagrin of local media and reporters, the DA's Office has kept the affidavit attached to their request for a warrant sealed, saying that they will release it once the other defendants named in related indictments are arrested.
Unlike all the other indictments handed down by a grand jury, access to the names of the bribers, amounts of the bribes, and when the alleged bribing took place remain unknown.
What we do know is that Yzaguirre will be back on the job on Monday with unrestricted access to the office and all its departments.
Cortez, meanwhile, is hoping that a jury will find his opponent to the March 1 primary of the Cameron County Republican Party nomination for the general election in November guilty. The investigation into the 14 counts of tampering with government documents was initiated by Cortez about a year ago before he left the DA's Office to run for sheriff with Saenz's blessings.
El Chapo had no comment on Saenz's or Cortez's claim they captured him in a shootout.
"No speakie Ingles," he said as he was led away by Sheriff Omar Lucio after the Saenz-Cortez photo op.

Saenz is ablaze with public relations activities (AKA Campaigning for DA) around town. Not unlikely that some think he was "the lead" in the capture of "El Chapo". TV file pictures now have "DA Saenz" as a subtitle. He is going all out to try to convince the public that he is not like the other Dumbokrats, like Tony Yzaguirre, Armando Villalobos, Conrad Contu, et al.

How can the DA spend money on chasing down criminals spending thousands of dollars, when there is a blatant misuse of funds going on every day in the BEDC. Why was nothing done on the theft of money from the credit card of the BEDC by Jason Hilts.

Remember when Saenz personally assisted Seal Team Six in capturing Osama bin Laden too? Time for a press conference.

Ha!Ha! This is funny stuff man! That they will find Jimmy Hoffa, and that he assisted with the Bin Laden capture! Ha!Ha! Keep adding to his record. What's next he will solve the JFK assassination, he assisted with the capture of Sadam, he trained Chuck Norris, etc.! Chuck Norris dressed like Saenz for Halloween.

Don't forget, how bravely Saenz and the Bishop, ran out of the City all those Maquinitas owners and fined all those "Dangerous" gamblers

If Luis Saenz spent as much time prosecuting criminals as he does promoting himself, citzens would feel more secure. His self promotion surely takes advantage of the ignorant public that never learn of his prosecutorial failures. He didn't capture Omit Livingston, he didn't capture "El Chapo", he didn't take any action against Tony Yzaguirre until other agencies investigated and brought the charges to him, and he has failed to prosecute his friends and other elected Democrats.
