(Ed.'s Note: This is the day that candidates for the nomination of both Democrat and Republican parties have labored months (even years) to arrive. In some races where there are only two candidates, a winner will emerge. In others, where three or more candidates are running, the likelihood of a runoff is possible. Cameron County has traditionally had low voter turnouts and we hope (as do the candidates) that this won't be the case this year. The presidential nominations by both parties for the November general elections makes for a potentially larger-than-usual turnout. Anyway, we hope so. Below are the polling places for both parties. Go out and vote.)

Many voters seem to realize the ease of early voting; convenient, well-known polling places, no waiting or traffic.
