(Ed/'s Note: In what has become a yearly ritual, the horse riders and chuck wagon crews of the Tip-o-Tex Trail Riders make their way through San Benito along the course from Port Isabel to Mercedes where they will participate in the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo. The procession drew the attention of motorists along Business U.S. 77. The riders narrowly missed being drenched with the late afternoon rains that darkened the sky behind them.)
