(Ed.'s Note: One of our seven readers sent us this before Photoshop and after comparison of Texas Southmost College candidate Evelyn Cantu. Cantu is running for Place 3 on the TSC board on a ballot that includes Dr. Tony Zavaleta, Dr. Tony Juarez, Cantu and J.J. de Leon. We've got to admit that the contrast is astonishing. Before anyone accuses us of picking on the ladies, we have often commented on male candidates who used pictures from their high school yearbook to run for office 20 years later. We poked fun at trhe likes of Lucino Rosenbaum and Pete Avila, to mention but two. The last time one of our readers sent us a similar photo it was that of Estela Chavez-Vasquez (in a runoff with Chuy Garcia for the Cameron County Court-at-Law #5.)
In the case of Chavez-Vasquez (as in the Cantu photo as well), the difference is like night and day. We have seen Chuy during one of the debates prior to the election and he looks just about the same he does in his campaign signs. He has a face his mom and mate can only love. But, ah well, good thing he didn't try the Photoshop avenue.

ooooo how sweet. Evelyn has the same major as her BFF Jessica T. Kalifa. Brownsville is so lucky to have all these super smart strong women in office. They are self made, mature, never vindictive, always willing to help the little poor Mexican uneducated people. I can't even imagine Brownsville moving forward without these women. My eyes are tearing up as I Type. Oh what a happy day.

Not only does Jesus T. "Chuy" Garcia have a face his mom and mate can only love, he has the "Integrity and Fairness to bring Justice and Respect to ALL".
Any independent, smart voter who compares Jesus T. "Chuy" Garcia's "Legal Experience" with his opponent (SHE has very limited legal experience and NEVER tried a case or selected a jury) will conclude that "Jesus T. "Chuy" Garcia" is the smart voter's choice for "County Court of Law No. 5".
I have never met neither of these candidates. I am voting for Mr. Jesus T. "Chuy" Garcia simply by comparing the legal experience/qualifications of both candidates.
Legal experience should be the foremost reason to qualify as judge of COUNTY COURT at LAW #5" AND Jesus T. "Chuy" Garcia GOT IT.
It's that simple. VOTE for the experience; not the photoshopped person."

Hanging around Rats and making Sylvia your mentor is all you need to know about this Candidate. Everyone photoshops, but you can't photoshop the people that are running your campaign and will control you if you win. Thats whats wrong with Evylyn period. Don't be fooled people, vote for any one of the others but the one with a future indictment.

And what good is it to have a law degree if you don't even have the experience to back it up!! in this case Estela's experience! I know a lot of paralegals that have way more knowledge of the law than her!!! I've heard her, she was my attorney until I hired a new competent attorney that knew what she was doing! This Chuy guy may be fat, but he has the experience to back up his law degree! Just goes to show why the system is like it is....same people voting for the same reason...compadrismo, sympathy vote, she's a woman....see how far your going to get with that. And yes, I'm a woman before you go thinking a man wrote this.
