Witnesses today at the Cameron County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office were surprised to see officers with the Texas Sept. of Public Safety arrest and take into custody for booking a female employee from the premises.
LAter that evening, an announcement from the Cameron Cunty D.A.'s Office indicated that the woman in question is named Marisol Sifuentes. Sifuentes is charged with breach of computer security and was booked at the Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center in Olmito before she posted bond and was released.
Sifuentes had been employed by the tax assessor-collector's office since 2000.

Are we supposed to be surprised Montoya? Tony Yzaguirre hires nothing but convicted felons, females who over dress, colored hair, overdo makeup and dirty law enforcement officers. Its the voters of Cameron County, the FBI and the United States Attorney's Office for not doing their job to the fullest. We the voters for not being smart and electing this crook, Yzaguirre year after year and of course the Democratic party. The fact that the FBI picked and choose who to Indict and prosecute in court. And then the AUSA picking and choosing who to indict or prosecute. I know that there is good employees within that office but its the likes of those arrested who give them a black eye and the mistrust of the public.
Luis Saenz, don't give these crooks special deals! As a voter and taxpayer of Cameron County! I want these crooks to be prosecuted to the fullest for they failed as public servants.

what defense can Tony Yzaguirre have when all his close employees are being arrested and are chirping like song birds. Tony your time is up you should take a plea deal they will make an example out of you beware the K is coming for you bro.

Zavaleta is correct that corruption is a part of Mexican culture, but he is not right that it should be accepted. We don't live in Mexico, and that needs to be fully understand. Yes, I know that there is a strong bleed over of culture to this side of the river, but while that is an explanation, it is no excuse.
The mother culture of Americans be British, Asian, Irish, Italian, Polish, Native American, African, Mexican or whatever should be celebrated. Each culture bring richness and character to the whole. However every culture has a dark side and a dark history and that should be cast off and not institutionalized and accepted.
I for one do not accept Mexican corruption as the norm. At least the FBI also does not accept it either, That is something, for enough prosecutions over a long enough period of time, will cause folks to rethink their culture of corruption.
