(Ed.'s Note: We remember some candidates being teased about using their high school yearbook photos in their campaign signs to make themselves look younger and more attractive. But in the case of County Court-at-Law #5 candidate Estela Chavez-Vasquez, the difference is like night and day. In fact, the picture on the left was taken prior to the one taken at right and which is featured on her sings. Chavez-Vasquez is in a runoff election with Jesus "Chuy" Garcia for the position. We have seen Chuy during one of the debates prior to the election and he looks just about the same he does in his campaign signs. Estela, on the other hand, like Dylan used to say, "Oh, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.)

Looks have nothing to do with this campaign. If she decided to get a retouch, so what, let her be. Also, just because someone is posting that Chuey has convicted felons working for him, does not make it true. Whats important in this and all the other campaigns is experience and qualifications. People do your own research in to who has the best judicial experience and you will find that the choices are very clear.
This chick just wants a title and for people to call her "Judge" and bow down to her. She has no idea about the law and if you've been to the courthouse, you never see her. She married a prominent doctor who spoils the shit out of her! She doesn't need a judgeship or work at McDonald's for money, she has her husbands money and spends it very well. Estela was a terrible commissioner and she is a terrible attorney with a terrible attitude who is not well liked at the courthouse. Not even the judges like her. Her husband is not a prominent doctor. He is an optomitrist. He has an eye clinic, but is NOT an Ophthalmologist (Dr.). He is a real nice guy and is probably the reason that Estela got some of her votes. Chuy has more practical attorney experience. He has tried many cases before juries. Estela has not. Vote for Chuy or god help us all.

It says alot when a person doesn't return a msg. My vote is for Chuey Garcia. If you can take the time to meet a person and message them back a little about yourself and what you plan to do it shows character. Plus he advocates for special needs. He's the right person for the job in my opinion.

When you're in politics you work with all types of ppl. Being an ex felon doesn't mean you're a bad person. It just means you made a bad choice. All of us make bad choices. To not allow ex felons to help you in a campaign is discrimination. I can name alot of ppl who have been supported or helped candidates by ex felons for office. It doesn't reflect the person running for office in a negative way. It shows leniency and a firm second opportunity to help others and be helped. The church and courthouse are full of good and bad ppl. Don't judge ppl on their past and others who are trying to help in a positive way. Instead focus on this man who plans to make a great and positive influence on our society.
