(Ed.'s Note: We have been sent this ad that was posted in Dan Sanchez's Facebook page showing he has garnered the endorsement and political support of at least 13 mayors or mayors pro-tem in his runoff race against former Brownsville mayor and Public Utilities Board legal counsel Eddie Trevino. Believe it or not, early voting in the runoff races runs May 16-20 and the election is May 24. Candidates are hoping that the long political season that started last year in the countywide races and culminated in the primaries March 1, the other races like that one for the Port of Brownsville, Texas Southmost College and some city elections, don't contribute to voter fatigue which will mean a small turnout for this one and others like the county courts-at-law races in #4 and #5. There is still another runoff in the TSC race between Dr. Tony Zavaleta and Evelyn Cantu. And November – and the presidential election – is just over the horizon. Remember, we have to live with the results for the next four years. So even if it means getting off the nice comfy couch and bearing the summer heat to do it, the consequences are daunting if you don't participate.)

Why vote for the lesser of two evils when one can't figure out who is greater and who is less! On the local level, both seem to have lots of baggage. Received a call from the Treviño camp - they assured me he was anti-LNG. But if he's part of the OP10.33/United Brownsville and whatever else quasi pseudo shadow government, well, forget it. I'll was my hands of the whole mess. Having just said that, the two candidates for Cameron County Judge seem light years above what we will likely get on the national level.
A foul-mouthed carnival barker con man (ask yourself, would you buy a used car from this guy?) vs. a sour-puss self-indulged entitled ("hey, it's owed to me") career (or should we say hubby's career) politico. It is shaping to be a disaster in November, no matter who wins. Hillary lost every county in West Virginia to the most unlikely of sorts - Comrade Bernie from Brooklyn, NY, the antithesis of the WVA mountain folk. About as likely as it's going to snow in Brownsville tomorrow. The pundits say it doesn't matter, but if she gets whomped by Bernie in WVA she will be a disaster on the national scene.
Maybe Bernie and Ted Cruz can get together and run a "unity" third party ticket - at least the Constitution will be safe. Otherwise the option of not voting for Pres. is starting to look very enticing.

This isn't impressive at all. Ricardo Longoria is not Mayor of Brownsville. Secondly, even if he did get the support of all these other people what good does this do for Brownsville? Of course these other "Mayors" will back him, for the simple fact that Brownsville is a powerhouse compared to these other small insignificant places. If they scratch Dan's massive back then they are hoping he won't eat them.
Dan Sanchez cannot manage his own health due to the fact that food is his addiction. Why does anyone think he can manage a county. When is the last time you had your blood sugar measured morbidly obese pig of a man named Dan? What in your past are you attempting to cover-up fat Dan? Emotional problems Dan? OK lets figure this one out. Fat Dan lists 13 mayors, minus one from Hidalgo County named Gerardo Perez, Even Fat Dan got that one wrong. Then there were 12 mayors, take away four which are not mayors, they are pro-tem (wantabe mayors), now you have 8 actually mayors. Lets see, Santa Rosa, Rio Hondo, Los Indios, Port Isabel, Laguna Vista,SPI, Combes, and Harlingen. You take away two mayors, Harlingen and SPI cause they republicans (Trump Supporters) now you have six mayors. Does Fat Dan really think he can win with six mayors from TINY Towns. Brownsville Mayor supporting Eddie and so is San Benito Mayor. First get the right name of your buddy from Hidalgo County and next time name Cameron County only cause last time I remember, Hidalgo can't vote here IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!
