(Ed's Note: The 2016 Class of the Brownsville Independent School District Veterans Memorial High School head their graduation ceremony June 6 at the Brownsville Sports Park. Parents and friends battled mosquitoes, a half mile walk from the parking lot to the bleachers, standing room only and often had to accept watching their graduates receive their graduation diplomas through screens because of the crush of people who attended. The school's STAMP graduates turned out a hugely successful group, garnering more than $16 million in scholarships between them all.Everyone agreed that despite the walk, the muddy fields and the ravenous mosquitoes, ti was all worth it to see your kid receive his diploma.
"It only happens once in a lifetime," said a proud parent. "I'd rather put up with all this and not seeing my kid graduate."
Congrats, VMHS Class of 2016. Go Chargers!

Everyone knows that with out a four year university degree one can not survive in this world.
You need to start writing the obituary for Nena Barton, Juan. She's in bad shape. Jim had a family gathering at the trailer park where they live, according to his son. My friend who knows Jim Barton, Jr., AKA Diego Lee Rot, says Jim was crying while talking about having to bury Nena. Real sad tale, man.
These Graduates and their families should be extremely proud of taking the first step towards possibly attaining any and all relevant training to assist in their future endeavors. It is sad that we have naysayers and extremely negative individuals making derogatory comments about these graduates.It goes without saying that every community has Its share Of idiots and jerks.

The twisted little peckerwood, known as Duardo, has been writing obscene comments about Nena daily since August 16, 2015, the day his "blog" was deleted by Google.
His unemployed status affords him ample time to stalk the Brownsville Observer, typically making a dozen or so obscene, juvenile comments at 3:oo AM, then again at 6:00 AM and, once more, at 9:00 AM.
While most in Brownsville wouldn't recognized the dude, he bears a strong resemblance to Lily Tercero, but is perhaps a bit more feminine in appearance. He is frequently mistaken for an altar boy, but acts out the role of a psychopath.

I've actually seen the dude at the Palm Lounge. Dressed in a skirt, panty hose and makeup. Looking like your typical whore at el zumbido. I'll bet if his blood was checked, they'd find hepatitis, herpes, gonorea, hell AIDS.
