A READER'S TRIBUTE TO JUAN GABRIEL (?)

(Ed.'s Note: To tell you the truth, we really don't get the meaning of this graphic, but since Juan Gabriel died yesterday, it's somewhat apropo. That's Pete Sepulveda, our appointed Cameron County Judge hamming it up with outgoing Mexican consul Rodolfo Quilantan. El Divo de Juarez was one of the top singer-composers in the history of Mexican music, on par with Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Agustin Lara, and Marco Antonio Soliz, to name but a few. RIP.)

Juan Gabriel's song (his real last name was Valadez) "Querida" should be the bnational anthem of Brownsville, where adultery rules. I get a kick of hearing Jerry McHale's version when he sings it at El Hueso De Fraile. Jerry knows adulterylike Bo knows football.
