DE COSS SUPPORTERS, ALL OTHERS BANNED FROM LIBRARY

(Ed.'s Note: Early today, the second day of early voting, the Brownsville Police Dept. arrived at the front and rear of the Central Public Library and ordered all supporters of all the candidates to leave the premises of the library even though they were well past the no-campaign zone signs posted all around the building. This seemed to be an arbitrary and capricious move on the part of the cops since there was no one obstructing traffic or people on the sidewalk. We remember when Da Mayor Tony Martinez was on the ballot and the candidates' supporters were allowed to literally camp on either side of the driveways' entrances without any fuss. So what's different today, the fact that Tony isn't on the ballot?)

I early voted today at the Horizon clinic. The only politiqueros there were for Sylvia Atkinson. A line no longer than six people.
I voted for DeCoss and write in Gonzales for the tax collector position. Voted for all new people in the BISD board. No loud mouths or know it alls.
I like the Horizon because you get to go to a separate room aside from the public and have privacy.

The voting and car traffic is very heavy at the Library. The political people are also there in large numbers and some are very aggressive. If the police did not step in, somebody was going to be hit by a car.

I voted early there, and did not feel the situation was safe at all for either the drivers or the political people. I am not suprised the police had to step in.

What about Solis going into the designated sign area and assaulting his opponent, Don Duncan's, female volunteer and ripping a sign away saying her kind isn't allowed there? There are witnesses and the assault report filed. And Solis wants to be constable?!

Why have our cities best decided to enforce election laws, when the rest of the year many laws and ordinances go unenforced. Could it be that someone "nudged" the cops to move these people? Could it be that the call came from City Hall? Could it be that this is use of the police for partisan politics? Or, all of the above. We would hope out police chief had enough balls to be politically neutral. I guess not.

No matter what the police do to influence this election, we are voting for Judge DeCoss.....not for a Dumbokratic flunky who will protect corruption in that party.

My support goes to RENE DE COSS
he is the only choice with experience

Don Duncan is a good man. Unfortunately Solis is a piece of shit. God protect the people of Harlingen if Solis wins.
