DE COSS SUPPORTERS BUSY LITTLE BEAVERS AT WORK

VOTE FOR RENE DE COSS: JUSTICE YOU CAN COUNT ON

Given the dissatisfaction the people have expressed at recent verdicts in a handful of criminal cases involving homicides and aggravated crimes, there is one court that has consistently earned the respect of defendants, attorneys, and the state.

That if the 445th District Court presided over by Judge Rene De Coss. It is hard to find one attorney, defendant, or prosecutor who has not given him high marks for his fairness, impartiality and adherence to the letter and spirit of the law.

Of all the judges in the county judiciary, none have compiled his record of performance on the bench. He has presided over a little more than 1,000 cases while on the 445th and only two cases have been appealed to a higher court. One decision was upheld on procedural grounds, and the other is still making its way in the appeals process.

And while he was in the Brownsville Municipal Court, De Coss presided over more than 13,000 cases and hearings where he displayed the same quality of judicial temperament and respect for the law and those before his bench.

His opponent in this race – attorney Gloria Rincones – comes nowhere near De Coss's level. She does, however, enjoy the support of the local Democratic Party political machine.
On balance, we think that you will agree that a vote for De Coss this Nov. 8 is a vote for "Justice You Can Count On."
(Vote tomorrow, Nov. 8 in general election.)

It is going to take every Democrat everyone knows to push De Coss. With the latest polls showing Hillary and Donald basically tied in Texas, the palanca vote is going to be hard to overcome.

He has my vote. I am pushing every Democrat I know to break with the party and vote De Coss. He walked into a few land mines when he started but got them under control. You may not like a ruling, but his clear intent is to protect justice.

Plus I support sending the democrats a message that they do not own this county. It is owned by the people. But unfortunately for De Coss, Trump may have already done too much damage. In 2018, I think he would have won with no problem. But in this presidential election, it will take a miracle.

That miracle is the people getting word out.

Hopefully someone will resign and Gov. Abbott will give him a second shot. He can win in 2018, if given a second chance.

I have voted democrat most of the time, but I and my family will be voting for Rene De Coss for Judge. We need more honest judges who are not afraid to render judgements and apply the law without having to fear that his compadres and friends will be pissed at him for being fair and playing by the book. Remember Judge Darrell Hester? One judge hard to forget who has a building named after him and was a judge who was not intimidated by anyone who came before his court. Judge Hester was always fair and impartial and when running for re-election, always won with a landslide.. Great Job Judge Decoss and remember our County Judge Carlos Cascos changed parties and ran as a Republican and won several terms as county judge. Justice is not about whether your Republican or Democrat. Its about applying the law and without prejudice. People here in Cameron County unfortunately vote for incompetent people with no experience and end up making a mess of our judicial system. Just look at some on the bench now and the past... Elia "No Nothing, I'm Smart" Cornejo Lopez, Abel Limas, Leonel Alejandro, etc. I think you get the picture... Vote for fairness and experience. Vote Rene Decoss.....

I agree with all of the above but county judge isn't a judicial position like the others. That being said, Cascos was a great official and Judge DeCoss deserves to remain on the bench. People who will vote for Gloria will do so out of ignorance or wickedness.

I am tired of the Democratic Party corruption in Cameron County and the nation. Always promises of change, yet nothing changes and the corruptors of power continue to be Democrats. There can be no positive change if we elect Democrats; no positive change in the nation or in Cameron County. It is time to enforce our laws and that will take honest people like Judge DeCoss and "anyone but the Democrats".

Juan, the score is not 13,000 to zero, but 130,000 to zero. I know, pour napalm on a dead roach, but get the numbers right.

If he wins could he bring Judge Trejo to find time to do something other than put pictures on his face book.

Ok finalists, this is the last question of the test before you go on to be a judge, are you ready? What do the words Concurrent and Consecutive mean?

Rene De Coss for Judge
Vote De Coss

After voting for Democrats for years, I am going to vote for Judge DeCoss because he is a very good man, a very good judge and he is not connected with the judicial corruption that has dominated this county for many years. His opponent is a slave to the party, not the people.

Gloria has to get this or she is going after 357
either way she will become a Judge.
357 will be up for re-election. I think the recent meeting held for support was just for the purpose of re-assuring a coming up election.
