EARLY VOTING ON: CANDIDATES, COUNTRY'S FATE AT STAKE
(Ed.'s Note: This was the scene this morning the Cameron County Courthouse on Harrison Street as early voting in the 2016 general election got under way. Voters seem aware that they are participating in an historical election where the possibility of a first woman president being elected is a very real possibility. Locally, there are a few contested races between a resurgent Republican Party and yellow-dog Democrats. At the Brownsville Independent School District, 19 candidates are vying for four positions (a majority) on the school board. Will it be Hillary or Trump who will take the White house? And will voters turn out and elect new board members to replace the existing majority? You, too, can make a difference. Vote.)

Everyone should take the time to vote. Not to vote is to surrender. We can only hope that voters take the time to learn about the candidates and seek to rid the county, state and nation of the corruption of the Democratic Party. Remember Benghazi where Killary left four men to die.
Please say if the clinic on Price Road and the library will be early voting places. That line at the courthouse is a joke!!
Remember to go out and VOTE!!!!
Su voto es su voz, remember that's was Willie Velasquez saying from san Antonio years ago, viva la raza
Why are there some many problems at the voting locations!!!!! All the dam computers are down?....Why?? Wasn't the county ready for this?
The size of some of them. It's like they were getting highly paid to go do that.
Mayim.
Erasmo Castro is winning. Bye Bye Laura Reyes!
I went to early vote at the Horizon clinic on Price Road. There were only about 5 people ahead of me and all the booths were occupied.
I like the privacy (separate room)BUT, they don't tell you that each booth has the names of write in candidates posted and many people don't know the names of the write in candidates. I didn't vote for Mr. Yzaguirre, but I am sure that a lot of the elderly people didn't know who their choices were and just filled in the bubble. I had to ask and some of the people in charge didn't even know the names were on the side of the booths. I voted for Randy Gonzales. Don't know the person but Mr. Lopez is already a liability by marriage to a politician.
I used to vote in the library but the clinic is closer to my home and there is a lot of privacy.
