FROM CHARRO DAYS TRADITIONS TO INFINITY...AND BEYOND
(Ed.'s Note: Just when we thought we were done with Charro Days, someone sends us a photo that is noteworthy for others to see. In this one, Cameron County Pct. 2 commissioner Alex Dominguez and his crew decided to combine the celebration of equine tradition and agrarian heritage with the promise of space travel (at least satellites) from Elon Musk's SpaceX commercial rocket launching pad planned for Boca Chica. Someone thought about this theme long and hard and made it happen. The SpaceX thing has been in the works since 2013, when the first launch was planned. If only Musk would make at least one launch happen at Boca Chica, maybe sometime this year.)

Your taking too long to upload comments - your articles aren't that great to read - I prefer reading the comments but tired of checking it and no updates.
I doubt it but you never know.... Anything can happen in Cameron County let me tell you. Ben Neece is the only GOOD change we'll have for a while.
It's to infinity and beyond.
McALLEN — Swings wiggled in the wind Friday morning as a Metro McAllen bus pulled up next to them. Children jumped on a hopscotch board etched into the pavement and beat the nearby drums. A renovated bus stop on Nolana Avenue next to the public library features these amenities, paid for through a $40,000 grant the city won through the KaBOOOM Play Everywhere Challenge, a $1 million national competition that “awards innovative ideas to make play easy, available and fun for kids and families across the U.S.” McAllen was one of 50 winners to be awarded a grant. The goal was, instead of simply having a bench to sit on, to have an interactive environment where taking public transit is fun for all.
