After we received the photos in our email, we called the Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts and were told the two figures and others along the Palo Alto Hike and Bike Trail are the works of St. Louis-based artist Ron Fondaw who is scheduled to open his Partal of Hope permanent exhibition May 25. The exhibit is meant to convey the travails of immigrants along the U.S.-Mexico border.)
