Many years ago Nena signed us up for a travel plan that provided huge discounts to selected lodging. We got a very nice deal to stay at the Radisson Paraiso in Zacatecas, then she found us a motel deal on the outskirts of Houston, Channelview.The motor inn in Channelview was technically "on the water" and clean enough, but not our vacation ideal. The smell of several variations of fossil fuels filled the air, as well has smoke, steam and the sound of steel on steel.
If local politicos, with palms well-greased, had their way, the Port of Brownsville, Highway 48 to Port Isabel and S.P.I., South Bay, the estuaries would collectively morph into Channelview. The huge heat and pollutants generated by the enormous process of liquifying natural gas, reducing it to 1/600th of its volume, would go straight into our air, water and soil, our precious environment. Crude oil pipelines would crisscross our bays and lagunas. Residents could close their eyes and smell Channelview.
A light bulb went off for a group opposing Valley Crossing Pipeline.
Why don't we enlist the help of State Representative Eddie Lucio III? Local advocate Mary Helen Flores made the call, being told initially that the state rep would return her call within the hour. After an hour, she called back and was told by an office assistant that "Representative Lucio was unable to comment on the operations of Valley Crossing Pipeline as he represented them locally as an attorney. What?
Flores was livid, posting this comment on her Facebook page:
"VALLEY CROSSING PIPELINE IS A CLIENT OF EDDIE LUCIO III LAW FIRM. HIS OFFICE CANNOT COMMENT ON THIS ISSUE. CONFLICT OF INTEREST, ANYONE?!"

This is unacceptable. After reading this story and Lucio not commenting because he is their atty. Hell, LNG hired him on ourpose because of his position. Just like Mike Hernandez has. Stae Representative homewrecker Oliveira from documents I have read is the biggest user if lobbyist money for personal meals hotels with gals sports games all over state and cash on hand for his vote. Oh my God. Never really felt the Lucio's were particularly trustworthy, but holy shit. He's on the Republican petro fossil fuel dole and supposed to protect our interests?? Says he's a democrat??
Is he going to be singing to the group? What songs will he be singing? Will it be open to the public? I hope he sings some opera music and heavy metal.
I hear he sings very nice.
Looking back on this guy, does his clothing design company scream "money laundering" to anyone else? Apparently doesn't bother to hide a conflict of interest anymore, cash straight from Satan's hand into his pocket.
We usually have a south eastern wind, so that means Playa Bagdad will be safe from pollution, you all can go and enjoy the beach over there!

Is he running in 2018 or how soon can we get rid of this Lucio two face? We need a real candidate. Time to get serious about finding a credible replacement. We'll dump him like we dumped the pro LNG OP 10:33 loser squad last time.
The two Lucios, as well as Rene Oliviera are for sale....or their votes in the legislature are for sale to the highest bidding special interest. They are hired by these LNG companies; or companies supporting LNG in the RGV, because of their positions and their willingness to sell out to serve themselves. Eddie Lucio and his son, Eddie "The Turd" are not your friends unless you have money to put in their pockets. Anyone who has been in the Valley for a while understands that politicians are for sale.

Restaurants - lose customers, fire workers, no one wants to eat poison fish next to a scenic refinery
Does Lucio care? He should, look at all the voters he's about to piss off. Jobs my ass.
What if a Tesla rocket misfires, goes sideways and crashes on the LNG refineries...
Like building a pedophile counseling center next to a preschool. Rockets + silo-size tanks of highly explosive compressed fuel, what could possibly go wrong?
The Lucio's and Rene Oliveira are scum that are for sale. Why they got elected is beyond me. Both are women hunters with no morals. I know them both. I'm guilty of voting for them once, never again. Rene has been an alcoholic for years and who knows what else. Please don't trust this individuals. Hide your daughters, these are predators. Find candidates to run against them. PLEASE!!!!!
