It shows a fire department emergency command vehicle assigned to Elizondo parked during working hours at the law office of the Garza Building complex downtown.
Actually, it's the office of attorney Noe Garza and that of his wife Adela, who happens to work for the Cameron County District Attorney's Office. Noe Garza is Elizondo's personal attorney. The DA's Office is investigating the theft charge. We have also confirmed that the chief was huddled with Garza discussing some unspecified legal strategy for unspecified litigation.
We suspect it won't be long before Elizondo or others in the department's administration will require the need of these local barristers to fend off prosecution in our local courts.
We didn't hear of any fire calls or emergency calls from that address, but obviously someone is feeling the heat. Someone else pointed out that the chief is parked in a red no-park zone near the corner of the intersection. Thanks to our roving photographer for the picture.)
