COME AGAIN? WHO DID YOU SAY WOULD PAY FOR THE WALL?

The only thing I will ask you though is on the wall, you and I both have a political problem. My people stand up and say, “Mexico will pay for the wall” and your people probably say something in a similar but slightly different language.

But the fact is we are both in a little bit of a political bind because I have to have Mexico pay for the wall – I have to. I have been talking about it for a two year period, and the reason I say they are going to pay for the wall is because Mexico has made a fortune out of the stupidity of U.S. trade representatives.

They are beating us at trade and they are beating us at the border, and they are killing us with drugs. Now I know you are not involved with that, but regardless of who is making all the money, billions and billions and billions – some people say more – is being made on drug trafficking that is coming through Mexico. Some people say that the business of drug trafficking is bigger than the business of taking our factory jobs.

So what I would like to recommend is – if we are going to have continued dialogue – we will work out the wall. They are going to say, “who is going to pay for the wall, Mr. President?” to both of us, and we should both say, “we will work it out.” It will work out in the formula somehow. As opposed to you saying, “we will not pay” and me saying, “we will not pay.”

Because you and I are both at a point now where we are both saying we are not to pay for the wall. From a political standpoint, that is what we will say. We cannot say that anymore because if you are going to say that Mexico is not going to pay for the wall, then I do not want to meet with you guys anymore because I cannot live with that. I am willing to say that we will work it out, but that means it will come out in the wash and that is okay.

But you cannot say anymore that the United States is going to pay for the wall. I am just going to say that we are working it out. Believe it or not, this is the least important thing that we are talking about, but politically this might be the most important talk about.

Build a wall around Rene Oliveira so no more lobbyist money goes into his pocket, no bad governing comes out of him, and the wall will keep him from destroying young families and women.

Let me explain to you simpletons how mexico will pay for the wall. Trump is going to tax the billions that the illegals send back to Mexico via western union and other wire companies. Simple, get it now dumb asses?

I voted for Trump and support most of his agenda. However, I do no support the construction of this stupid wall. It is a gigantic waste of money. Under Obama the policy was catch and release. Under Trump the policy is catch, detain and deport. Simply enforcing long standing law is all that is needed.

The wall that exists now was built during the Obama tenure and was supported prior to that by Bill Clinton. Where were all the anti-border wall when Obama was building it and who asked how Obama was paying for his wall??

Mexico isn't paying for no wall and anyone who believes this theory can continue to dream. The U.S. tax payers will pay and that final .

Anonymous at 5:35 Blow it out your ass, idiot! You know and Donald knows that would never be allowed by the courts. If it could be done , Donnie would've already done it. Stop listening to that Alex Jones stuff.......you come off as demented and ignorant.Sad.

Follow the current immigration laws and deport everyone who is here illegally and then there would be no reason for a wall and the fence can be completed. The grotesque way elected officials are supported illegal aliens in this country is cause enough for them to step down and or be voted out. Law enforcement that refuses to uphold the immigration laws of this country need to be arrested. Illegal aliens are criminals period! People keep confusing compassion with law and that is what has made this entire issue such a mess. If parents don't pay rent then the whole family gets kicked out of the home. There is no better analogy. If your parents brought you here knowing they were breaking the law then that is who you have to point you finger and frustration at, and to Obama who gave you TEMPORARY false hope. The law is the law and you must abide by it. If you fail to respect and adhere to the laws of our great county then you need to leave!
