(Ed,'s Note: Right at about 3 p.m. today motorists and passersby at the corner of 9th and Adams witnessed a scary accident involving a van and a semi-trailer.
None of the members of a family traveling in the van were hurt and the driver stopped just in time before he squeezed the vehicle on the light post and the curb.
Even though the accident happened one block away from the Brownsville Fire Dept., it took about 10 minutes before the crews were activated to attend to the crash.)

Pinche van driver aborasado.
The van is clearly at fault
Which driver wasn't paying attention????
WHO WAS THE FIRE LT. OR CAPT. AT STATION #1 FOR A 10MIN DELAY ONE BLOCK AWAY ?? IF IT WERE AN AMBULANCE WITH A 'DELAY' THEY QUICKLY PUT IT IN WRITTING.
What is this 18 wheeler doing down town? Do we have an ordinance? Or is it an ordiance
like the "no pan-handling" one where every busy corner is being raided by those guys that
scare the hell out of the drivers. Police go by and do nothing - so why the ordinances?
Who cares about a 10 minute delay.
Was anyone even injured? Where they city residents? Did they even have medical insurance?
I’m surprised that you know so much about writing in delays but don’t know that it’s the dispatchers duty to “activate” them and they’re the ones who decide how long until they activate the appropriate authorities. Dispatch waited 10 minutes because there was no injuries and when the police got there probably decided there was an oil spill or something that the fire Dept needed to take care of. Think before you run your mouth next time.
It's time to bring the ex-fire chief with his voice recorder.
I really loved reading your blog. It was very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike other blogs I have read which are really not that good. Thanks a lot!
