Alex is short for Alejandro or Alexander which is a Spanish and Greek name respectively.
I don't see any gringo relation in those names or nicknames.
Now If your name is Charlie, as in Charlie Cabler, then you have a 200lb sack of shit problem.
In spanish it would be ale not alex. Alex is the Anglicisation of the name alexander. The gingo is good for doing this.
