Why is it the lions have a monopoly over the chairs? What about the knights of columbus the rotary, al anon, good neighbor, ozanam, united way?
I believe that the lions would lose their monopoly if they did not have the equipment, infrastructure, volunteers that actually show up, and most of all, THE CHAIRS ...
Why dont you complain about the drinking at Sombrero fest and all the money spent to cater to junk food and beer.
Is that our culture level? Complain about healthy lifestyle and celebrate drinking and eating shit food?

What about Mardi Gras, SXSW in Austin and other major festivals all over the country. Is that their culture level, or are you complaining because for some stupid reason-PENDEJO/PENDEJA. Festivals are for making monies and the majority goes to municipalities so they have monies for their PET PROJECTS like your friend la chisquiada!!! Instead of using these funds for important necessities like infrastructure, maintenance of streets, BUS SHELTERS and NOT useless projects like bike trails.

With all the fanfare of Charro Days and the fantastic dancing of our young people, why should some people (above) be negative and petty to focus on who rents chairs. The kids did a great job in the parade.

50,000 visitors at $10 a piece... thats $500k plus the tickets for food and drinks. This is a real cash cow. who is auditing their books. Its an all cash policy. Very shady...

There should be a rotation between those that have the equipment to place chairs on Elizabeth street just like the wrecker companies, not just the lions. Enough is enough they've been doing this for 50 years just like the deputy dog over at finance dept. A change is needed.
More bike trails more pot holes more flooding more traffic jams more grass on sidewalks more hot temperatures on non-existing bus shelters more fancy fliers with pretty colors (no bids taken on this one) more bike barns for free repair of bikes for the elite.
