IN BROWNTOWN, LIFE IS JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE YOU TURN
(Ed.'s Note: We won't presume to know what species of bird this is that hangs out in the shallow resaca next to the TreviƱo Funeral Home off Old Port Isabel Road in Brownsville. But we will say that it's a regal creature that spends its day feeding from plant lie and small fish and bugs in the waterway. Just about everywhere you turn in the city (and its waterways) you can see different bird and animal species going about their business. There are many ducks, cormorants and chachalacas around this particular resaca. Click on graphic to enlarge.)
