He ran again in 2012 with the PRD and finished second again with 31.59 percent of the vote. He then founded the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA). He is running under the slogan Together We'll Make History" leading a coalition of left-wing and right-wing parties.
Among his proposals are increases in financial aid for students and the elderly, amnesty for some drug lords, universal access to public colleges, cancellation of the construction of the Mexico City Airport, a referendum on energy that ended Pemex's national monopoly, stimulation of the country's agricultural sector, delay of the renegotiations of NAFTA until after the elections, building of more oil refineries, increased spending for welfare, cutting of politicians' salaries to avoid debt spending or higher taxes, and decentralization of the executive cabinet by moving Secretaries from the capital to states.
Maybe his supporters will be munching on antojitos with tortillas as they watch El Tri take on Brazil. The icing on the tort besides an AMLO win could be Mexico defeating the Verde Amarela.

Let's hope the soccer team wins and AMLO loses. We don't need a Venezuela on our border. If he is elected we really need to build the Wall on the border to protect from a surge of illegals....something AMLO has advocated.
