(Ed.'s Note: It was built by a French architect who became an Oblate priest (Peter Yves Keralum) with Mexican labor and local building materials, more than 250,000 clay bricks made for the church in the village of Santa Rosalia, 3 miles east of the old town site of Brownsville. Only a cemetery remains of that village.
According to the lunar phase calendar, it is in a Waning Gibbous Phase. This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs. We thank Sabrina Gonzalez, the head waitress at George Ramirez's Half Moon for this excellent photo.)

That church is Brownsville's crown jewel.
If only this beautiful cite would help bring some peace and quite and unity in our country. We all need to see the light and face reality using our voice to speak up and make this world a better and safer place to live in. We don't need to hear that "our thoughts and prayers" are with the families who just lost a loved one to violence. We need to pray before it happens, not after. Who wants thoughts after it happens? May this moon shine over the white house also and over Congress.
1st church I ever remember being in. Probably because I went to kindergarten and 1st grade, across the street.
Elchuko.
If the moon shines over the white house "El Pendejo" will shot it down.
