Not like the other blog that doesnt post comments and threatens everyone with frivilous lawsuits cosying the taxpayers money and bogging down our cash strapped judicial entities!
I heard they were painting bike trails on caliche roads, and some alleys. What a waste. Oh well its not her money, just like city employees reading and posting on blogs during working hours. Waste galore...
Perhaps Commissioner Rose Gowen has plans to give the prisoners a bicycle, so that they can peddle freely from the jail to the river....or beyond. Of course the taxpayers would pay for the bicycles.
Nothing makes sense in city planning. Da' Mayor, Tony Martinez, continues to fly by the seat of his pants....with no planning and no professionals to plan. This city is swirling down the toilet due to the poor management under Martinez. We have lots of hike and bike trails....but no infrastructure improvements, no leadership, and no evidence that anything beyond Martinez's "downtown" is included in whatever he calls planning.
Not everyone has enough money for a car. You car people are elitist you think the roads only belong to you and how dare the city think about the safety of those without a car. These markings obs for family and friends walking or biking to visit a pal in jail

The bike trails were FOR the city elitist NOT the poor, second you people would do any thing to justify the bike trails, including lying, cheating and even using a pic of a poor man on a bike (not on the bike lane) hauling cartons and you saying he is benefiting from the bike lanes, what BS. Bike trails and bike lanes ARE USELESS IN THIS COMMUNITY, THEY ARE NEVER USED!!!
There is the bus, and Rose Gowen has not included any puncture repair stations on any of the hike and bike trails, or emergency phones in the case of a breakdown, as the bike trails are not open to traffic. Rose Gowen you should solve this problem fast.
Yes and include a cup of coffee and some sweet bread, maybe even a city mechanic. While the city employees enjoy reading and posting to blogs during working hours, this makes sense.
Useless projects are her TOP priority, just give her time.
The Anti-bike people so triggered lol! Face it Brownsville is poor. Many people don't own cars, especially poor people who find their family in the slammer. They walk to the jail. Some. Even. Ride. Bikes! These photos need a trigger warning in case bike trails will be mentioned.

Its not anti bike pendejo its the cost (city funds)for something nobody uses BIKE TRAILS.
The anti-bicycle people only hate bikes because "someone" ran against Rose Gowen and LOST. Its a loser's grudge, no big deal. She remains Commissioner, the loser just an internet troll

The times-a-coming, that "someone" will turn it into a referendum against wasteful spending, catering to special interest.
This commissioner and the mayor have been turning a deaf ear to the pleas of its most vulnerable citizens, its responsibility to maintain the city's infrastructure, streets, traffic signals system. Instead the spend city funds to cater to the elite and other special interest groups.
Creating useless project that benefit "NOBODY", selling and buying equipment and buildings that will benefit "NOBODY", but a chosen few within the elite community.
If We Don't Eliminate This Habit, It Will Never Stop.

Get in the program the city is giving away new bikes. You could get one and trade it in for a used car. The city spends millions of your tax monies (if you pay taxes) for a project that benefits a few, but those few are the elites of this city. It was NOT designed for the poor folks of this city.
I would also recommend you retake an English writing course. Bad reflection I know this is a blog where most everything is permissible even bad writing which I tend to do quite often.
