TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! TAD'S MOST EXCELLENT CASINO NITE

(Ed.'s Note: It's no secret that City of Brownsville IT Specialist and candidate for the State Board of Education against Ruben Cortez faces and uphill fight in his bid to become District 2 representative on the SBOE.

But if you know Hasse, he faces the challenge with aplomb and instead of relying on generous gifts from the PACs lobbyists, he is resorting to old-fashioned fundraising that relies on the average Joe and Jane to fund his campaign.

Texas has 15 State Board of Education districts. Each district has an ideal 2010 census population of 1,676,371.The district is huge. It covers Aransas, Calhoun, Cameron, Colorado, DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Kenedy, Kleberg, Matagorda, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria, Wharton, Willacy and parts of Hidalgo counties.

The district basically curls around the Coastal Bend and includes numerous small communities nestled in the coastal plain edging toward the Hill Country.
Here's wishing Tad the best. If you remember his opponent's tenure on the board of the Brownsville Independent School District, you know why we're supporting him in this race.

Let's roll the dice! District needs new member!

The Republican party wants to put guns into everyone nuts hands, they defend automatic weapon stockpiles, then joke it is time to 'exterminate' an entire group of people simply for holding rational, opposing beliefs. They have completely lost their way and are not role models. Some of these candidates really do sound unhinged. Weird conspiracies, they talk about democrats and liberals as if though these were sub-human, lower forms of life rather than fellow Americans who also pay taxes, who have families and vote. the party has become radicalized and antisocial.
