(Ed.'s Note: With only days before Cameron County Pct. 2 Commissioner Alex Dominguez is scheduled to be sworn in as the District 37 Texas Representative in Austin, the commissioners court held a ribbon cutting on the new county warehouse.
For as far as anyone could remember, Pct. 2 county crews had shared a warehouse with Pct. 1 in an old warehouse on 14th Street.
The 9,000-square-foot facility will move public works employees out of the aging warehouse and into the area they serve. The $1.3 million steel building, near the Sheriff’s Office on a 19-acre tract of land on Old Alice Road, is divided into an administrative area and crew vehicle storage.
On hand for the ribbon-cutting was incoming Pct. 2 commissioner Joey Lopez, Cameron County Judge Essie TreviƱo, and other public officials.)

What happened to the centralized public works department some where in san bene? What a waste of taxpayers monies... Perfect example of corruption and stupidity
Out goes the scumbag Rene Oliveria, never to raise his head in politics again. Now he has lost his nest egg, and soon his black book as well, he will loose his DWI case and he will go to Jail for default of his sentence agreement, (good job his Mother is not here to see her golden boy bite the bullet).
But all scumbags get their day of reconning, and he has a lot to answer for.
The end to 34 years of corruption for the scumbag Rene Oliveria, now he has an empty apartment in Austin he has to declare, how he bought it and what is he going to do with it. I wonder if he has declared it to the IRS, now that he has lost his State Representative job, and his office in Price road, he has to take up his office in his law practice. It will now be hard for him to cook the books, and entertain his female clients.
Soon he will have a visiting judge to take his DWI case, and the other list of charges against him, when the DA Luis Saenz finally grows some balls and charges him.
What an end to an Era of such a man, because he treats everyone below his made up standards. I only feel pity for him and the embarrassment he has brought to the name of "Oliveria".
If only Alex Dominguez would do his job and set a project to pave Grove Park Road.
34 years is a long time to rape and pillage Brownsville, he has committed tax fraud, embezzlement blackmail
pimped his female client out to his friend, defend a female client in court, and got paid with sex. So he has had a good run. Now it is time to pay the piper, as I can prove all of the above.
God bless his late brother Tony, he was ten times the man of the scumbag Rene. God took the best one first.
