A TALE OF FAILED LOVE IN ONE ACT

(Graphic from front-page cover of Crosscurrents by Richard V. Barry)

And so it's come to be
I've had enough
Of you
As you have, too,
Of me

Let's have no trauma
No drawn out scenes
Or maudlin speeches
By drama queens

Let's close the curtain
Depart the stage
One right
One left
And seek our separate ways

Don't let the audience -
Your friends, my foes -
Force our return
To this
Our bitter stage,
With curtain calls

Admit the play is done
We're out of lines
Why have an encore?
We've had our run

It was just, after all
A one-act play:

It just happened to be
I've had enough
Of you
As you have, too,
Of me

Healthy Grubstake: Smart meals company blossoms in Valley. When it opens I will go there and order a harina con barbacos taco and frijoles a la charra with lots of queritos and a large coke. I will make sure I update my will before I go there...
