A post on a Facebook page posted by one Juan Garcia in social media has been labeled "totally false" by the Cameron County District Attorney's Office.
In the posting, the person identified as Garcia labeled it "Breaking News" and alleged that City of Brownsville District 2 commission candidate Catalina Presas-garcia had been indicted by a grand jury this past Wednesday and that Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz had staved off the service because he wanted to help her defeat incumbent Jessica Tetreau in this past city election.Indictments by county grand juries are normally made public Wednesdays unless they are sealed pending service or arrests of the defendants.
The post featured a photo taken with Presas-Garcia and Mario Saenz, Luis Saenz's brother, during a campaign rally.
In it, "Garcia," who investigators suspect is a fake Facebook persona, urges readers to oppoe the DA's reelection and "get him out."
"It's such a shame that we allow this bullshit," Press-Garcia said. "My mother is worried sick. I spoke with the DA's office and they tell me this is totally false. I suspect it's Saenz's political enemies thi are working against him and they mixed us together.
"I say, if anyone has and issue or don't like Saenz man up and let him know personally. Unfortunately, these men and women lack fortitude and hide behind false ads like this.
"Como dicen en Mexico, les faltan producto de gallina. Esos no se traen colgando como aretes."Garcia said that she was contemplating filing a complaint against the unknown Garcia and is now trying to locate the source, hut suspects that Saenz's political enemies might have included her as a way to cast suspicions upon the DA.
However, she says she has to narrow the search for the perpetrators. Already, she said, the post has been shared in various Facebook accounts."You commit libel not only when you post falsehoods, but also when you repeat the falsehood as many other people on the Internet are doing," she said.
"I promise that we will get o the bottom of this. You just can't do this kind of thing and expect no one to do anything to defend themselves."

Roberto Uresti was declared dead last month by the Brownsville observer blog and was repost in Erasmo Castro blog too. Where did these blogs get their information which was false from the beginning. This false statement cause many people hardship and pain. This report about Cathy has cause the same hardship to her family. This false reports need to stop.
So do false arrest and CORRUPTION! Give me a break. There were ppl arrested and humiliated by the DA and that is probably why they shared the post....thinking that the DA'S office was up to the same ol same ol bad behavior! Caty it is sad but part of the tertitory when you run for ofgice. Political figures automatically get brought into the BS!
