THINK THE OPIOID CRISIS JUST HAPPENS SOMEWHERE ELSE?

(From the outset, let's make this clear: Some people need medicines to help them deal with pain. But obviously, there has been an over reliance on these medications. Here is what is happening in Cameron County.)

From 2006 to 2012 there were 33,452,914 prescription pain pills supplied to Cameron County, Tex.

7,253,180 of the pills were distributed by Morris & Dickson Co and 13,829,860 were manufactured by Actavis Pharma, Inc.

•FRY'S PRESCRIPTION PHARMACY, SAN BENITO pharmacy received the highest number of pills with 2,286,810 . (Click on graphic to enlarge)
