There was only one item on the Brownsville Navigation District at their special meeting called for noon today and after nearly an hour of heated discussion the result was:

Just so the facts are straight the Port is ready to vote to keep the taxes the same for the next budget. There will be no tax increase.

My question is when is the port going to become self sufficient?

Great Day for South Texas!

It's sad that Cowen rambled on about not wanting to pay for it, but wants A&M to build it and include TSC.
You want me to build a house and then force me to take in your children...that makes NO Sense.

Tito, Reed and Wood showed some courage against the threats-

Steve, the GBIC--chair should offer up some GBIC funds for the project if he wants a say in to who is in the building. Unfortunately he wasted almost 3 million on land...could of built the school STEVE.

TSC is just too-small for big undertakings. It is a city college not allied with the Big Boys, like A&M. Pos ni modo, charlie.

After reading Ralph's My Turn article in today's paper, I understand all the nonsense. I now know why he voted no and I back him up. Read todays editorial page if you have not do already. Good for you, Ralph. We grew up in the same neighborhood so I know where you are coming from. Go Scorpions!

Another bridge to no where follow the money.

The ‘best job in America’ pays $108,000 a year - but in the poorest city in the country you can get a city, county, school, port and any board job at over 200k a year. And in the port you don't need experience just as long as you know somebody
