BRING IT ON TROPICAL STORM FERNAND! WE'RE READY!

(Ed.'s Note: After months of sweltering heat and skirting drought conditions, Brownsville got blind-sided with a tropical wave that has immersed the area in constant rain for the better part of two days. But these little girls and their mom are more than ready for the rain.

Tropical Storm Fernand formed in the Gulf of Mexico early Tuesday afternoon just hours after it had become a tropical depression.

As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center says the storm was about 245 miles east north east of Tampico, Mexico, with winds at 40 miles an hour and moving west at 7 mph. The motion toward the west or west-northwest is forecasted for Wednesday. Landfall is expected about 120 miles south of the RGV late Wednesday afternoon or early evening.

There’s an 80 percent chance of heavy rain for the Valley today, an 80 percent chance of heavy rain tonight and a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms on Thursday.

But our ladies are ready. They were caught across the street from the HEB in downtown Brownsville. We thank one of our seven readers for this great shot. Bring it on, rain!)

THANK YOU GOV. ABBOTT
THE LUCIOS LIKE TO STEAL

HOUSE BILL 1053

Vetoed: June 15, 2019

Author: Rep. Ryan Guillen (D-Rio Grand City)

Sponsor: Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. (D-Brownsville)

Governor Abbott said in a statement:

House Bill 1053 has two fatal flaws:

First, it would exempt the Willacy County Navigation District from competitive bidding requirements applicable to all other navigation districts, allowing it to donate, exchange, convey, sell, or lease a real property interest for less than reasonable market value and without providing public notice.Second, it would authorize the Port of Harlingen Authority to impose an ad valorem tax. This exception to the general laws of our State would unnecessarily undermine the tenets of transparency.

8 fucking years in office and District 2 remains the worst flooding part of town. You would figure 8 years would be plenty of time to work a solution into the budget but all Jessica Tetreau has done has been give out proclamations for stupid reasons and 99 cent hamburgers to people downtown. All of this while on camera, of course because she needs the credit and praise. God forbid anything she does would be in vain and simply for genuine goodness. Her followers are stupid like her and Erasmo. Facebook celebrities with being elected as their claim to fame. No education or real accomplishments, just gathering enough pendejos to vote for them.

Millennials in China Are Using Nudes to Secure Loans. These kinds of transactions are known in China as “naked loan services.”
I hear that somebody is opening one here.

The blame should be on all of them not just one and don't expect any improvements just a continuation of the same spending to benefit themselves and friends.
