Posting a link to an online petition isn't going to do one bit of good. An online petition doesn't have any weight as far as removing an elected official from office is concerned.
If people are really serious about removing someone from office, they need to look into what it takes to recall an elected official in the State of Texas. It usually involves gathering evidence and paperwork, submitting it to the county and publishing notices in the newspaper.
I get people are leading with their emotions, and I get people are angry, but if you really want to do something other than complain, it's going to take a whole lot more than clicking on an online petition to effect any sort of real change.
He should hire Ed Stapleton he tried to get the Scumbag coke king Rene Oliveira off by saying that the police went in his house illegally.
He should have been charged with leaving the Sean of an accident, driving under the influence of drugs and drink, and be banned from driving for 10 years, that will take care of his drinking and driving after he gets out of jail.
This town is tired of the BISD corruption and BISD board members acting like kids. There is no respect starting at the top. Philip Cowen and Laura baby Erasmo and approve all his antics. Erasmo makes light of DWIs like its nothing. For Erasmo no big deal. He's got no job and DWI in his record is ok.
He has to resign. He kept making a show at the City Commissioners meetings when ever the whole Cesar De Leon situation came out. They commissioners let him speak and he for almost a few months straight kept asking for his resignation. Now that people are calling for his resignation he gets the board to shut the person off. Using his own words, he has to go. I call on everyone to be at the next meeting lets all speak up against this person. We need to give our children a better example.
He needs to be convicted first, he is entitled to a trial then ya al can get a petition going. Specially da gringos since they are so righteous and fair and so innoceant...

Didn’t he once blast a comisioners home phone number out to the whole city because they said they would be a designated driver to anyone who was intoxicated? I work for BISD and if I had done this I WOULD BE FIRED! Why the double standards? We have been told not to even have Facebook because our personal posts may contain opinions or personal time photos that could get us fired. Again, double standard! He may have lawyered up but it is very clear he doesn’t belong at the BISD!

We live in Brownsville/ Cameron County. Take two examples of the hundreds I’m sure we can name: Jessica “husband beater” Tetreau and Tony “fill my pockets” Yzaguirre. They broke the law and they’re still free and holding office. They may be free because of their tranzas but they’re still in office because we stupid people keep electing them. They’re as pathetic as we are.

Juan, I agree with your title. Listen, take a look at PIISd. No tocamos mal las rancheras. We have the left over corrupt admin from around the valley all bottled in one isd. Superintendent from BISd, Financial Superintendent from BISD and Raymondville (Pineda), HS principal (HISD) left under suspicion activities. By the they gave a 2.5% raise accross the board to the teacher, after HB3 from the state. Some one got the money and it was not the teachers.

Since all comments (or the great majority) focus on corruption and how Mr. Castro should resign, I want to comment on a "commercial" or ad I saw on tv recently of Mr. Eddie Lucio announcing his pachanga for re-election. IF this man had any decency he would retire from politics. HE looks (with his actions, voting record, words, etc.) like the poster boy for corruption politics in Cameron County. WHERE and from WHO, an HONEST person that wants to serve the community gets the money to pay Bobby Pulido, Roberto Pulido, Ramon Ayala, and A LOT of other well known musicians? If they play for free to support their friend, what are their expectations in return? WHERE is the person that can take him and run him out of office? WHERE are the voters that complain in this blog but don't show up to vote when it counts?
Going back to Mr. Castro, WHERE is the BISD tax payer that KNOWS the removal process and IS WILLING to do the procedures for removal?
We can complain all we want to, BUT, as long as we show up to their pachangas, buy their chicken plates, and don't vote because it doesn't matter, we will have them in full view and all we do is complain.
