Special to El Rrun-Rrun
(Ed,'s Note: We have never been particularly crazy about celebrating Halloween in September, but the photos of the window display at an antique store in downtown Brownsville caught our eye.
The antique shop - because we could detect no name on the building closer than 1020 E. Washington Street - has an elaborate window display with a trio of ghouls at a marriage feast enjoying their Halloween meal complete with a wedding cake and candles.
They have a companion at the rear who is equally decked out in her Halloween finery looking at one of those photos that turn into skeletons depending on the angle you see it from. It's, as we said, quite an elaborate set up.
We have taken the liberty of taking these photos and posting them here. So as a quid pro quo, we will also run a sample of their display of antique clothing below.
The sign on the bottom refers to something called a VSCO girl, which is described on Internet sites as being "basic" and knowing it. At their core, they're self-aware, socially-conscious, eco-friendly, and masters at visually pleasing online aesthetics. Check them out.)

Juan, great Halloweenie reporting! I'm into it, people. Got my costume this weekend - a Blimp! Bought it on discount at the same tent supplies store where I get my clothes. Ja ja ja. Aja ja ja ja.

Must have been going (para la equina) because coming back you would not have caught any thing maybe only a PI...lol
Nothing but pure bujerilla! Always well in Brown Town. Halloween is just an excuse for all these tonteras. It serves the vendors of all these idiotic
items. And that is what we are revitalizing downtown Brownsville with?
Love it! A hole in one for the hole-in-the wall shop! Viva La Catarina!
We need to relax and have some fun once in a while dale gas Juan...
