No one was injured despite the strong impact between the compact car and the pickup parked at right. The driver of the of the small car hunches over his cell phone under the street sings. There have been numerous mishaps at intersection of drivers coming off the expressway and cars parked at the stop sign heading south on 12th toward downtown.)

Uh, no, I don't Respect The Office of the Presidency any more (or less) than I respect the Congress or the federal judiciary or the Department of Agriculture, for all that. Right now, all over the world, from Lebanon to Chile, hundreds of thousands of people are in the streets demanding a voice in their governments. Capital cities are being shut down. And we're all supposed to be alarmed that a renegade president got heckled (Lock him up!!!!) at a baseball game? For a country founded through acts of unruly dissent, that's as mild as milk.
Exits from express into service roads are extremely hazardous, all of them, cops don't care and where are the bike cops???

Maybe this will be what catches the eye of the police who have been time after time informed of the hazards on the frontage roads with loads and loads of cars and trailers parked in front of all those money-laundrery used car lots that insist on parking cars on the curb. Some are even parking them in the medium under the expressway cause they run out of space in front of their business. The no U-turn at Grant and International in front of Whataburger, makes the driver turn left and keep going down Grant and turning left to Lincoln and then to frontage. That area is covered with cars and it blocks the view for those of us that have to use that dip-street and have cars turning from frontage into 17th street at 50mph and come head on towards you as you play chicken trying to get into the expressway. That one lane street which is covered by cars blocks the sight of path. It is a wonder not more accidents happen in that area. And to top it off, we also have to dodge those irresponsible panhandlers in the middle of the street that use their middle finger to those who do not give them money. Is there not an ordinance against this in Brownsville. The police don't seem to know the ordinance or could give a damn. Mayor, Chief, City Manager, DA, get on top of things and earn your money.
