"Where is the love,
You said was mine all mine, till the end of time
Was it just a lie
Where is the love...
By Juan Montoya
At one time, it appeared that Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz was willing to let social media maven Erasmo Castro have a second chance at holding public office.
It got to the point where Saenz appeared with Castro on his campaign postings on social media and openly endorsed him for the board of the Brownsville Independent School District.
But the signs of trouble were there for everyone to see.
When he was running for office, a picture circulated on social media showing Castro fast asleep at a local fast-food restaurant.
And, alas! As time passed and Castro settled into his role as board member, he was rumored to have committed some untoward acts even while he lived the open life of an elected officials.
One of those was an incident involving Castro and another man seen together in a car in the parking lot of a watering hole and reported by people who thought the other male might have been a minor. The report was made to BISD H.R. and got to the ears resident Minerva Peña who – as a former DPS employee – felt obligated to report to police.
The police investigated the incident, looked at the surveillance videos of the business, and decided there were no criminal acts committed.
Then came the complaints from campus administrators, teachers and parents of students that Castro had made it a habit of suddenly appearing on BISD campuses, chatting it up with the students, and then taking selfies cheek to cheek with students, the majority of them boys.
While talk roiled in the district about his peculiar inclinations, Castro was arrested and charged with a DWI Sept. 2 after he was found sitting in the back seat of a car whose front end was damaged and the driver's side front wheel flat as if from some impact, maybe a banquetazo.
A group in Brownsville – just like in the case of San Benito Consolidated Independent School District president Michal Vargas – opened an online petition seeking Catro's removal from the BISD board. Before they were done, more than 3,500 people had signed the petition.
Through all this Castro remained bon vivant, calling the petition signers a bunch of sore losers and flaunting his connections which kept him untouched.
By coincidence (or was it?) Saenz was interviewed by the Brownsville Herald about the petition for removal and Saenz provided the reporter with a blueprint on how to remove him citing the little-known Chapter 87 of the Texas Local Government Code dealing with the removal of of a school board member and how it can be initiated by petition to the judge of the state district court where the trustee resides.
Concurrently, the same information was passed on to the dissatisfied SBCISD petitioners. On Sept. 24, both groups showed up at the Cameron County District Clerk's Office with petitions for the removal of both Castro and Vargas. Coincidence? Maybe not.
In the filing, Saenz's brother – activist Mario Saenz – is listed as the the person to be notified to retrieve the summons in the case against Castro.
If the Saenz brothers are acting in tandem in Cameron County politics (and the BISD and SBCISD?), then it is a clear sing that the Saenz-Castro honeymoon is over. And if it is, whatever protection Castro may have flaunted before has dissipated like the early morning mist when Castro was arrested off Morrison Road in the wee hours of the morning.
Saenz is campaigning for his reelection and this may signal his distancing from this chiflado who flaunts his disdain for the law. Who can afford to have friends like this?
Castro can scoff at his fellow board members placing items on the list for his removal or censure, but he knows that only a court can order his removal. With Saenz squarely on the other side in this law enforcement matter, he might want to reconsider his over confidence.
The honeymoon, apparently, is over.

Just part of the democRATic corruption in this county! Castro had no business running for office! That' the reason there are laws forbidding convicted felons from holding office, having guns, voting etc... Once a criminal always a criminal, period!
Oh, just for the sake of pissing off someone! Minerva pena is the last person to report, get help or much less make aware of any sexual crime! This sorry excuse of a former LEO supported a sexual predator who was convicted for it and in the punishment phase tried to wear her DPS uniform in support of the convicted predator until told by her superiors (on a complaint from the CCDA) to not wear the uniform!
Castro is shitting his pants right now and throwing temper tantrums.
After a 4 hour executive board meeting, all they were able to come up with was a long-overdue process by which to keep board members under control. Does this mean that he gets to stay and then, when he does it again, he will be removed. Does it mean this was a verbal warning to be followed by a censorship, and what good will that do? Then it will be reported to TEA and then removal? Must we now wait for Judge Migdalia Lopez to rule on his DUI?
That is an removal offense by law! I guess Erasmo is doing what Trump is doing to get away with things that are impeachable. Now he wants more time to hire a lawyer to answer the grievance placed by parents. And what about Luis Saenz? Why doe she have the option to decide whether or not to take it to trial like he did with SPA. AND, he had to audacity to get his feeling hurt and threaten not to vote to adjourn the meeting until someone on the board told him to "be nice." He has no shame and is making a mockery of the position, but I guess he is following the example of the others.
Trump is guilty of fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, insurance fraud, obstruction of justice, conspiracy against the United States, and sexual assault. He has attacked our allies and praised our enemies. Seven of his aides have been convicted of felonies. He has praised Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Roy Moore. Trump is a criminal president.
The corruption in the Cameron County judicial system is so rampant that Erasmo is likely to walk. When a public official, especially an elected official, gets in trouble, the judicial system favors them. Other elected corrupt politicians are not likely to enforce the laws when it comes to one of their own.
STATE REP. LUCIO’S BUSINESS GOT $58 MILLION FROM GOVT TO SHELTER PREGNANT ILLEGAL TEENS
However, through financial disclosure statements required of state officeholders, Lucio is listed as Vice President of External Affairs and Legal Counsel for IES. He’s an actual corporate officer of International Education Services.
Publically available Internal Revenue Service records retrieved by Larsen from 2014 went even further. They show that Lucio, III is actually a Director of IES — more than just an executive office and legal counsel. However, the IES website doesn’t list Lucio, III as a Director.
Jane Doe. It’s a name that is intended to offer anonymity, but has led to the discovery that State Rep. Eddie Lucio, III (D-Brownsville RER17) is making a good living sheltering Jane Doe’s.
Here’s the kicker. It’s all government money
BROWNSVILLE, Texas – It’s not a lot of money, but he owes it. State Rep. Eddie Lucio, III is listed as being in arrears at the Cameron County Tax Office. The public servant first elected in 2007 hasn’t been able to fork-over $43 he owes since 2012.

Lucio, III, a Democrat, joins a growing list of local public servants, gents and ladies with good salaries who for some reason won’t ante-up property taxes to fund heir hometown county. Lucio, III is an attorney, for Chrissakes.
This week, he was named as being counsel for the controversial gas pipeline moving through locally on its way to Mexico. That was income he had until he withdrew representation when called on it by area environmentalists. But a $43 delinquency?
Smacks of yet another elected official “using” the county’s liberal Payment Plan…
DA Luis Saenz is NOT FRIENDS WITH ANYONE. If you think because he takes a picture with you or shakes your hand he respects you or calls you a friend? To Luis you are just a vote, nothing more. Mario Saenz doesn't have a job. His full time job is using his brothers position as a District Attorney to get Elected Officials or Candidates to give him money by making those people think that because he is Luis Saenz brother you will have his support and Luis will ask everyone to vote for you. He also insinuates that he will be a fixer between you and his brother Luis Saenz. He lets attorneys know that if there is a deal to be made on a client that maybe he could intervene discretely but it will take a fee because his time is valuable. Nothing but a scam. Luis will only laugh when Mario tells him Oh so and so gave me money for you and me. Everything is border line illegal. Who will take on the DA and his Brother? We a doomed by this Crooked DA. Seriously no one is safe with the DA. He is a back stabber that only uses people. Mind you Erasmo uses people as well, but he is not the DA like Luis Saenz.
ALL GOD’S CREATURES: Children take their pets to receive blessings: just go to veterans park and bless them there you'll find 100's if not 1000's there, just be careful where you step...
These concerned citizens and vets need to stop accepting mordidas from locals politicians. I’d believe they were real concerned citizens if they formed a petition to end all corruption and start with names to remove corrupt judges and DAs instead of dumb BISD board members that did what is acceptable at BISD. Too many people at BISD with DWIs and DUIs and that is very acceptable at BISD. I would like to see a Erasmo’s counsel pull out all the files of those with such violations and who were given a slap on the wrist there at BISD. The fact that he was elected makes it more telling that those who elected him accept him as such too.
Oh yes, the continuing comic opera about Browntown elected officials and public office holders. Who is to blame? The voters of course.
I thought Eduardo Paz Martinez, or the Orange haired orangutan, as he is better known... was done with blogging! Yet there he is, looking up Eddie Lucio’s tax history. They say that he looks over delinquent tax accounts while he masturbates himself with three fingers! Crazy old dude. The Lucio Clan send you a kind go fuck yourself Eduardo Paz Martinez! Go fuck yourself and suck on a big juicy cock, you senile old fucker! And cut that ridiculous hair you imbecile.... you look like an 80 year old tranny! Smh
Who is to blame for the racist republican president being elected??? The voters of course...

Wake up & smell reality not the crap of the Democrats
Who is responsible @11:13 for the lowest unemployment for hispanics? The racist republican being elected RIGHT?
If he was so racist, he would be able to control the market so minorities were not hired.
Who is more racist? The orange haired republican or the guy writing on a silly blog in Brownsville?
Chango Smith says:
Its the orange hair oragatan racist republican guay.
Post October 2, 2019 at 11:50 AM, you have repeated that story so many times it is obvious that you are obsessed with Minerva Pena. Let us ask why you dislike her so much. What happened? You tried To be hired as a LEO and got turned down. Now you make up lies that someone complained from the Cameron county district attorney and that they were asked to not wear their uniform. Hey remember there were 2 officers there that day to testify, both in uniform and the assistance DA for the case in question, was fighting to keep both officers from testifying. Unfortunately for you the their supervisors mandated that they go back the next day and testify. You remember the next day they were both there to testify. You apparently were very upset that they were made to return. Several of us worked there and remember how you handled/mishandled cases. Tampering with people subpoenaed to testify in a case is not legal, last time we looked. But, you already know that, right. Anyway take a breath.
