FOR A BUCKET AT PALM LOUNGE: WATCH THE DIFFERENCE?

(Ed.'s Note: Remember our post on candidate Ricardo Adobbati for the 404th District Court who held a high falutin by-invitation only fundraiser with a $250 entry fee for the select few who were invited? The lucky invitees were to bring in their own empanadas to eat and share with the other blue bloods and compare their house servants' recipes for the savory morsels.

Did we say compare?  Oh, yeah, we digress. Take a gander at the two campaign posters above. Can you find the difference? The lettering is the same, as is Adobbati's apparel. And yes, he is a municipal judge at posh Rancho Viejo. The smug look is the same, too. The original sign is the one on top, the bottom one came later on.

We'll give you a clue" Watch closely.
Aw, you peeked! Yeah, what is missing from the bottom sign is the Rolex Deep Sea [Sea Dweller] watch that is peeking from under his judicial robe on the top photo but missing in the bottom one.

We wonder why? Could it be that Adobbati's handlers are apprehensive that he is casting an image of privilege in his quest for the votes of one of the poorest populations in the United States? We looked up the cost of one of those watches new and they range anywhere from $13,000 to $15,000, and higher, or about half of the average household income in Cameron County at $33,390.

Although we're just getting a feel for this Rancho Viejo blue blood, we doubt that he would have acquired the Rolex at a local pawn shop. Did he sell it to pay for the new signs? Or (perish the thought) did he (gasp) pawn it?

Is prestige, privilege and exclusivity qualities voters look for in the public's courts of law?

Forget the bucket at the Palm. We'll drink it ourselves and consult our Timex for happy hour.

The last thing we want is a "camarada" on the bench. Have we forgotten how it use to be only a few years ago in that court..... who cares about prestige, privilege and exclusivity qualities.....lets just hope for someone who is fair and honest, and if Adobbati is, lets give him a chance...

you’re being paid by Sorola and this all you can come up with? I got Folex across at Garcia’s for $80.00 .

And who they gonna hang? Meskins??? typical gringo....
NOT FUNNY!

Seriously Juanito. You have Sorola's picture emblazoned on your website. I'm sure there's some kind of donation for that. The best that the two of you can do is empanadas and watches. Pretty sure that the ones that have nice watches and eat donated empanadas are part of the 5,000 consistent voters out of the 82,000 registered ones; not the ones that go to poorly attended golf outings. Well fed, well to do voters will have the energy and transportation to get to the voting polls. You're gonna have to try harder than that.

Does anyone here care about what BobbyWC writes on this page??

You can buy one of those at Reeds for $300 a month for 5 years.. people spend more on beer on a weekend.. specially those underserved, underprivileged who spend on the Lone Star Card at HEB with 2 grocery carts and have to drive a 2019 Escalade to fit all those bags.

Your description of Rancho Viejo as "posh" means you haven't been out there lately. The Town of Rancho Viejo is like other cities; some big homes, some small simple homes, the old "casitas" from the old days, and many apartments. There are no "blue bloods" in Rancho....only those with big egos and spending more than they can afford. It is a simple Town with a lot of normal people who have moved there to avoid the traffic and corruption that exists in Brownsville.

I would post this on the comments of a BWC story, but it would never be published.

Bobby Wrightman is absolutely unhinged. His blog does, however, make for good comedy. He never disappoints. He is always good for an off-topic laugh. When he isn't busy claiming to be "working" by helping people with legal advice, which he isn't supposed to be doing since he is disbarred, he is always posting some stolen story claiming he wrote it before everybody else did. Montoya writes a story about Adobbati, BWC writes a story about Adobbati. One of the other bloggers writes a story about something happening with BISD, BWC writes another one about BISD.

And my God, he sure does have a hard-on for Castro. In one of his nonsensical ramblings, he goes completely off the reservation talking about the dark web and photoshopping pictures of children. I don't know what the hell that was even about.

But the best part is the way he doesn't like publishing comments on his blog. Someone writes a comment he doesn't like, he calls them trolls and writes some tirade in reply, but the best part is you have absolutely no idea what was said to him, so it just looks like he's gone stark raving mad and fighting with himself.

It's always comedy hour over at the Brownsville Voice. But to echo the sentiments of another comment, I very much enjoy reading Booby Weightman-Ramirez's comments on here.
