Moctezuma identified himself as an off-duty deputy of the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department, said the release.
According to a press release, officers were dispatched for a call regarding assault, where they contacted a female victim.
The victim informed the officers that she had agreed to meet the suspect at 1500 Block S. 9th Street in McAllen for masseuse services.
She reported that she was coerced into sexual conduct, $220 were stolen from her and that the suspect had identified himself as a law enforcement officer, said the release. The suspect then threatened to place her under arrest.
Officers said they were able to locate the Montezuma and the vehicle at the location.
Moctezuma was arrested and charged with official oppression and theft. His bond is set at $10,000 and $3,000 respectively
Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio released a statement to CBS 4 saying :
On December 5- around 9pm, I learned one of my deputies was arrested by McAllen police on charges of theft and official oppression. Mr. Moctezuma was hired on February 12, 2019 and was terminated Thursday. He was a probationary deputy. He is married and has a child on the way he is a military veteran. My preference has always been to hire current or former military, and it will continue to be my preference. I cannot answer for the allegations he is facing. He put himself in that position and he will have to face those allegations that are being raised against him. He was a role model deputy. Mr. Moctezuma’s allegations do not reflect the type of person, as we knew him here, he had no disciplinary issues with the Cameron County Sheriff's office.

I attended graduate classes at UTB with Sylvia P. Atkinson and witnessed her lack of integrity and ethics when she cheated on exams and presentations.
