PORT OF BROWNSVILLE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR DEBBY DUKE RETIRES; IS SUCCEEDED BY MARGIE S. RECIO

Deborah Duke retired at the end of 2019 after more than 35 years of service to the Port of Brownsville

If you needed information on elections, personnel, or policy decisions, Debby Duke, the Port' of Brownsville's Administrative Services Director Deborah Duke was the person to go to.
Duke would  procure the information requested and would go the extra mile to make it available without placing road blocks before the media. Now, after 35 years at the Big Ditch she has retired. Duke first joined the Port of Brownsville in 1982 and retired this past December."Debby has been a wonderful asset to the Port of Brownsville, her knowledge and dedication have left a lasting impression," said Port Deputy Director Donna Eymard. "We thank Debby for her professionalism and wish her the very best in her retirement."

Duke is succeeded by Margie S. Recio as the Administrative Services Director.

While the previous assholes who commented have no idea what goes on at BND, I would like to thank these ladies for their efforts in support of BND Port activities. They are the people that make things happen out there. On another note, last night there was a piece on TV about the Port ranking 3d in the nation for trade. BND has come a long way and yet, it still taxes the public. We must ask why it continues to tax property owners when it produces billions of dollars of trade. Eduardo Campriano is practicing his "Julieta Garcia style of taxing", which means he continues to tax us, but doesn't really need to.
It is time to end the BND taxes and accept the fact that the Port can now fund itself without the public toll. Those tax dollars could be used to fund the new flood district to protect our county from flooding in the future. END THE BND PORTION OF OUR PROPERTY TAXES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a coincidence, James Dannenbausm just pleaded guilty to Dec. 6. 2019 to violating the Federal election Act. She was responsible for campaign contributions at the Port of Brownsville. She should be held accountable for playing a part in the robbing of the $21 millions that were stolen from the taxpayers money in Cameron County. The shit is dropping off and leaving a trail
