I say to you today, my friends, though, even though
we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have
a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American
dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise
up, live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these
truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia
sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners
will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of
Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day
live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color
of their skin but by the content of their character. I have
a dream...I have a dream that one day in Alabama,
with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips
dripping with the words of interposition and nullification,
one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black
girls will he able to join hands with little white boys and
white girls as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today...I have a dream that one day
every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain
shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain,
and the crooked places will be made straight.
And the
glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see
it together. This is our hope. This is the faith that I
go back to the South with. With this faith we will be
able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of
hope. With this faith we will he able to transform the
jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony
of brotherhood.
With this faith we will be able to work
together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to
jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing
that we will be fine one day.
This will be the day when all of God's children will be
able to sing with new meaning.
"My country, 'tis of thee,
sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my
fathers died, land of the pilgrims' pride, from every
mountain side, let freedom ring.''
And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. So let freedom
ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.
Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies
of Pennsylvania. Let freedom ring from the snow-capped
Rockies of Colorado.
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.
But not only that. Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia. Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee. Let freedom ring from every hill and
molehill of Mississippi, from every mountain side. Let
freedom ring . . .
When we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring
from every city and every hamlet, from every state and
every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all
of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and
Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join
hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual,
"Free at last, Free at last, Great God Almighty, "We are
free at last."

I was watching a you tube video of Peter, Paul and Mary of the 1960's. We DONT have the musicians nor the leaders in 2020. His dream is still that: JUST A DREAM.
There is NO SINGLE man or woman who has the charisma of a Robert Kennedy, of a Cesar Chavez or of a Martin Luther King. There is no Peter, Paul and Mary, no Simon and Garfunkel or Dylan.
I was a baby girl in my mother's arms when these people were being part of history. Today, we have gone back 60 yrs in time. With all the gadgets of the 21 century and the mentalities of those controlling the natio, the state and the region stuck in the mid 20th century.
A dream that died when he who said it died.

Dr. Gutiérrez:
That was high school
Senator Lucio:
In high school. And I became, I had a golf scholarship at A & I [Kingsville, Texas, now Texas A & M University]. But I had, like I said... I had to quit because, you know, we just didn't have the money
Dr. Gutiérrez:
Dr. Gutiérrez:
Before we go with that. Military service. Your dad was in a war. Was that Korea or World War II?
Senator Lucio:
World War II. North Africa. Good question. Very, very... North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Germany, those campaigns. He fought Rommel in North Africa. I was drafted to the Viet Nam War back in '68. And I was practically on the bus, but the superintendent pulled me down. Put me off the bus. I was twenty-two years old at the time. I didn't know what was going on.
Page: 38
Dr. Gutiérrez:
But you were married, weren't you?
Senator Lucio:
I was married.
Dr. Gutiérrez:
Had a dependent?
Senator Lucio:
Yes. And that's what, that's just what happened. I was drafted anyway, but, but I was pulled off the bus for two reasons. One, I was married and had a kid, but I would have gone anyway. More importantly than that, believe it or not, was because I was teaching and there was a tremendous shortage of teachers. And the superintendent obviously called, called the Selective [Service] Board and I don't know... He, he told me what he had done. And he said, "I need you. Who's going to... Who's going to teach your first period class?" My first period class I had a hundred and four kids, a hundred and four boys. Who was going to take over? I was their teacher and, of course, I had five other classes. That was the reason I was re-classified. And, and again, my dad had mixed emotions. Even though a tremendous, very patriotic, preached Americanism, he, you know, he had lost so many of his friends. He, he, he had gone through war and he realized that war was hell. And so he was, it was eating him inside, but he didn't have anything to do with it. He was real thankful, obviously. Later on, you know, I look back and I lost about eleven of my friends in the war. 1 didn't get to go. And, and that's the only void in my life that I feel inside, that I, I didn't serve my country.
What's most pathetic about magas is they don't realize #MidnightMitch and the GOP all KNOW Donald Trump is a corrupt fucking moron dickdrip who abused his power. They detest Trump. They just don't care as long as they stay in power. Only magas actually buy Trump's shit.
Funeral services will be held Friday and Saturday for Spc. Miguel A. Villalon, who was killed Jan. 11, in Afghanistan when the vehicle he was riding in was struck by an IED or improvised explosive device.
Tad Hasse did it.
Cold morning. Mexican Montoya still in the sack? LOL
who cares
We can't live our dreams in this nation when the Democratic Party continues to divide the nation. Congress is a great example of this division. Congress is so engaged in partisan political issues, they have failed to do their jobs. This problem has "trickled" down to the states and local communities. Division and ignorance are tearing this nation apart.
How can we have freedom when we have a Police Department that shoots first and asks questions later y los rinches all they do is approve the shootings. Let it ring but when...
If Dak holds out the cowboys will draft either Drew or Brady.
I would say that we are not living MLK' dream! And the reason is that the racist blacks that continue to use that race card every chance they can get! Yes, some blacks are injustice but so are other races! Blacks abuse the race card more than any other races. Then it doesn't help that you have a democRAT supporting media to bow and kiss that black ass for viewer numbers! Then you have democRAT muslim loving representatives who are kissing and bowing to the blacks for votes!
So, no Montoya! We're not living the MLK dream! And will admit, that' sad!
I hate to say we have racism here in the valley! We have a valley pendejo calling people Cocos, hillbillies and meskins. King was not about judging the color of our skins and treating everyone one with respect no matter the skin color. Hopefully, that idiot and others like him, learn something in what King preached. Let's Make America Great!!!
It never was his dream. It was just a carefully written speech designed to get folks all worked up.

So excuse me for not giving a shit about people that don't have my best interests at.
Don't tell me we are all in this together either.
I say take care of your family and your self and if you have anything left over at the end of the save some and buy cake (metaphor), with the rest.
