(Ed.'s Note: This placid scene of the Town Resaca along Calle Retama reflects nearby palm trees off the water as a "flight", "gulp", "rookery", "sunning", or "swim" of cormorants stand atop the branches of a sunken tree. Such scenes are so familiar to Brownsville residents but are a wonder to our winter visitors, one of whom sent us these photos. We thank him for the nice photos.)

It's "un Chingo" de cormorants.
I've seen a lot of Cormorons up north of the city its crawling with them but they're not black they are a diffent species they're all white
