The U.S. recorded its first death from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, on Saturday.

Officials in Washington state confirmed the death, according to The Associated Press.

Several media reports said the case occurred in King County, where officials are scheduled to hold a press conference at 1 p.m. PST.

Coronavirus is here. Everyone with a fever and flu symptoms should be tested. The US is the worst nation in the world in responding to this virus largly due to Trump including shutting down the Obama Ebola system. People have to depend on their states and hope the system is up to the demand.

Without bike trails, most of us had the most fun riding around town in our bicycles. Bicycles were used to run errands, deliver the newspaper, play races at Ringgold Park, or to just cruise around from neighborhood to neighborhood to visit with friends. I can remember carrying someone on the back section of the bike, me, one on the middle pole and one on the handle bars until a policeman would stop us and tell us it was one to a bike. We even got a license for our bike. We would place a piece of cardboard held with a clothes pin on the spokes of the bike wheel to make it sound like a motor bike. Oh, and how can we forget the basket in front of the handle bar that we would fill up with pineapples that were given to us at the loading docks over at La Fronton Street. How much money did the city spend on bike trails during our time? Life was so happy then. What has happened?

Bike lines and bike trails that are hardly used. Downtown bike lines are always empty yet the city spends thousands of dollars on paint and manpower every month. A total waste of tax dollars, instead of improving bus shelters, streets and drainage the city has its priorities all screwed up due to pet projects.
