(Ed.'s Note: Our eyes and ears in early voting at the Central Public Library gave us a heads up on a confrontation taking place in front of the Veteran's Park fence adjacent to the library. As you can plainly see in the photo, there are Texas House of Representative District 38 incumbent Eddie Lucio III's workers standing with large signs of their candidate trying to block the lighted signs placed overnight by his challenger Erin Gamez.
The Lucio workers and managers thought it was unfair (but is it illegal?) to allow the Gamez signs because they did not think it complied with election law.Inevitably, the boys (and girl) in blue were called to soothe the passions.
Gamez is an attorney ( as is Lucio III) and her father is also a leading Brownsville attorney, so we think that they would stay within the legal boundaries of campaigning.
The Gamez people thought it was unfair (but is it illegal?) for Lucio III's handlers to place their workers holding large signs blocking Erin's lighted letters.
Of course, when you have tow candidates who are lawyers, it's probably a matter of opinion. But these type of confrontations are bound to happen in what appears to be a tight race, something the incumbent has not had to deal with in the past. Signs, as candidates say, do not vote. It will be up to the voters in the Democratic party primary to have the final say.)

I drove thru there earlier and they had signs hangin on the fence and were standing in the middle of the street and when you come out into central they block the view of incoming traffic it is a mess and will get worst if the PD don't put a stop to all this.
Need to change that voting place to where there is little traffic BAD PLACE and the clowns won't listen until something serious happens.

If history’s any indication, why give 3 decades worth of representation like we did his father, nothing changes. Our whole bible group went to the library to vote against Sen. Lucio and his Son. We feel sorry for them but, their time is up. It's their fault the community is reacting this way.
My whole group of drinking buddies went to vote yesterday after the super bowl at the library at El Gran Southmost but it was closed but we voted any guey, Iiii tinkkkk.
